Last week something strange happened. I was driving in my F430 spider and I had to stop to make a turn. Suddenly it shifted automatically into Neutral. I tried using the paddles, but I couldn't put it in 1st gear. Then after 15 seconds or so, it worked to put it back in 1st gear This didn't happen to me previously, it was the first and only time and afterwards I didn't notice anything wrong. Is it something to worry about (bad clutch) or is it just something mechanic that could happen to all of us once in a while ?
Hard to say ..did you check fluid level ..maybe it a tad low ? Just a educated guess Sent from my Moto G (4) using Tapatalk
It will be an F1 issue of some sort that only an expert can cure. You may have to wait till there is a more frequent fault. Nothing worse than giving it to an expert who can't fault it. Worth getting it checked to see if it has stored any codes.
Can you tell us how many miles on the car since the last clutch was installed. It could be that the clutch is going bad or it could be the clutch position sensor. Either way your gonna have to get it in the shop for this one...
Sorry for obvious but.....you definitely had your foot on the brake pedal when trying to get 1st right? I only suggest as i stupidly did this till i realised first time out, using hand brake on hill, not used to autos
