You know, the "whomever" sucks threads. I am puzzled as to why these threads are allowed on F-Chat. They are in extremely poor taste, and quite frankly, very childish. I cringe when I read the thread titles. They are clearly meant to troll. Epic fail, moderators. How about cleaning this place up? I am tired of feeling like I am in high school.
Technically speaking they're ''Suck'' threads. I'm not a fan of them either, but we've had them for a long time about current Ferrari drivers, never closed, and with moderators actively posting in the thread (not talking about closing it, but giving his opinion), why is it a problem now?
Coming right up: "Kizdan and his giallo Enzo suck". Come on, these drivers are public figures and to be honest, some aren't F1 material.
I agree....to an extent. All the way up to the "I am puzzled as to why these threads are allowed on F-Chat." I sometimes do and sometimes don't participate (when I do it's to defend the "victim"). That is my choice which is a great thing. God bless America and this forum. You're allowed yours also. Do or don't participate or read them. "Those were the days my friends. We thought they'd never end..." lorenzobandini
I agree entirely. These threads are just troll magnets. They lower the tone on this forum. The mods should consider some form of censorship here, or the forum will enter a downward spiral into poor taste.
It started with Massa in 2008. It was 2 or 3 guys trolling each other eventually some people got banned.
It is pretty childish. But sports "trash talking" has become a bit of a sport unto its own. So, ignore it if you don't like it.
With respect to professional drivers it boils down to three categories: The Good, The Bad, and Tony Stewart
Trash talking and debating an athlete's performance are two different things. Never confuse the two. No one forces anyone to read a thread on Fchat. As long as the debate isn't personal and relates to their job, I don't see the issue. ITS A CAR FORUM.
Even those posters defending the driver who 'sucks' are as much at fault as the detractors, perpetuating the continuation of the thread. If you can't control your own behavior its a little disingenuous to ask the mods to control others.
Wow William you truly are the socialist (ironic use of the term) of the group aren't you... Encouraging censorship... Encouraging "no noise, it's a nuisance" racing. What do you do for fun in your life 😕 Maybe buy your own island and you can post all the "thou shalt not" signs you want and look at them when you first get up and before you go to sleep. Now there's a happy fellow. But I enjoy your repartee! Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk
Yup, that's the legitimate one. We could do without all these copycat threads, but Massa sucks enough to actually justify the thread.
Funny to be called a "socialist" ... I suggest Forum Rules are already some sort of censorship.. Are the mods socialist ?
Good question. They are business people I'd imagine. As well as aficionados. Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk
Hate/suck are just terms poor terms of frustration.... I rather see someone defend a certain point of view with facts. Objectively. All the rest is offensive language. On the other hand, Ferrarichat.com is a business and money doesn't stink....
It's the same thing. Especially when one refers to a certain driver as "Elton". But it's OK. I'm not really complaining. Have at it.
Meh... Hamilton created his own image. Nicknames go with the territory. The ones who complain are the ones where their heroes are bashed. Look.. someone says someone sucks. Another person says they don't. What's the problem? Its a car forum. If more people agree one way or the other who cares? BTW: The San Francisco Giants still suck.
