1995 F355 RH Lateral Engine cover

Well you all know the story, these come off to jump the car and never go back on. The guy sells the car, forgets to put it back on and then it hits a dumpster or whatever. Countless cars are missing this piece. Mine is nothing different.

So the part seems to be available but it doesn't come with the stickers. So I'll order one (and maybe have to order another left side so they match) but I need to get the plates/stickers.

The problem is that I don't know what the original one looked like. Below are some pics of engines from 1994-1995 but I think these are all non-US spec.

Also, I did see the post where 355rockit had made some emissions stickers.

I think the 1995 US spec has the emissions sticker and the black "shell" plate. So if that is correct, I still need to figure out where to get the "shell" plate that is not $400

I was able to dig up a picture from my car in 2009. It is super low res but it clearly shows an emissions sticker. So it looks like I do need one and the "shell" sticker.

Here is a pic of my engine from 8 years ago and another pic of the "shell" sticker/plate. this one is actually an AGIP plate from a March 1995 build. Mine is (I think) an October 1994 build.

Does this sound correct? If so, where can I get the Shell sticker/plate and is it an AGIP or Shell plate?

You're welcome. The cover was missing on mine, replaced it and got the emissions sticker from 355rockit and the shell plate from eurospares (never seen an AGIP plate for sale whilst surfing for parts). Glad to help out.

 

I tracked down the previous owner (it was sold to a dealer, then an auction, then another dealer so I had to use some serious google foo) and he happened to have the part in his garage.

 

Beautiful! See if he has the tools, books and covers too

Yeah he was a bit surprised I found him and initially irritated as he thought the Ferrari dealer gave out his contact info. I told him actually how I did it and he was cool after that.

 

I just got the parts in the mail today. Now just need the order from Italy with all the screws and nuts and things will be good.

 

Well I put on the lateral shield but haven't put on the exhaust shield/cover yet.

Got a bit more work in the engine bay to get it up to standards. There were 3 major pieces missing, and dozens of incorrect bolts, screws, nuts, hoses, etc. Now have most of those parts it's just putting them on. Here is a pic from today with the original shield back on after 9 years and some bolts put back to stock. Still have the crown nuts and some hoses to swap and the oil tank to refurb.

Looks really clean and tidy, with that Original part back on!
But what is that white label at the right front? Or just a piece of paper?

It isn't white, It is a silver color but at that angle and the low light it reflects a bit and looks white.

Your exhaust heat shield that protects the air filter boxes is missing.

andyw355, the black shield with the hole for the exhaust valve? It's on the shelf. I got that from the previous owner the black piece and the shield backing piece.

Where can I order the lateral cover from? I need to start there, then worry about the correct stickers.

Also - it needs to be for 1998 GTS with F1 paddle shifters. I think there may be a difference?

I have a used one of these for the right hand side, part #64501500 as shown in the photos. I used it for the plates and decals on it and the emissions decal was for a 1998 so I assume it came from a '98 355. It could use some fresh paint, but it is in decent condition. I will sell it for a reasonable price so send me a message if this is the one you need.

Not for the RH side.

The F1 LH side is different due to the hyd resivior for the F1.

The one on eBay is mine I grabbed it for the emissions stuff as mine is a euro spec but I decided not to use it.
