I'm thinking this car might "need" SF shields.....possibly hand painted.....here is a first run of my dealer config
Looks stunning! IMHO would go for shields too, obviously the painted ones! There is plenty of space for this without it looking cramped.
The other day I was talking to a detailer who has a deep knowledge about Ferrari special paints and he mentioned the hand painted shields in one of his customer's Ferrari. I might be wrong but I think I heard him mentioning that the hand painted shields were done by Zanussi.
You most probably mean "Zanasi". Marcel Massini Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Thanks for the nice pictures! I have heard that Zanasi does all the special paint for Ferrari, such as the triple layer
I think it looks awesome just the way it is! Is there an option for darker wheels, not black, but not silver? That'd be the cherry on the sundae. Congrats on your 812. T
Thank you ! [emoji485] Choices I was presented with re to the wheel colour were matt silver or nero matt - Nero is a non-starter for me..... Here is updated with grey centre caps and blk CR
The cost of the 'typical' fender shield for the GTC 4 Lusso is $1,856.00 USD. I do not know about the price for shields other than this. Sorry.
Since Zanasi is a separate company, perhaps this explains the high cost of the special paints. Ferrari tacks on the charges from Zanasi, ( does Ferrari consider the fact that there should be some offset since Ferrari didn't use their paint facility and supplies and labor to paint the car in house. ) Since Zanasi does the halo cars, regardless of the paint type , one assumes the Ferrari believes that they do a better job than the factory paint team. Interesting to note that I heard about a LaFerrari customer who complained about the poor quality of the paint and demanded that the car be re painted. FNA said no, The customer could simply return the car instead for a complete refund. The customer decided to accept the car as is.
TTBOMK Zanasi is owned by former employees of the factory, former factory managers. Nice little pension fund. Zanasi has about four different shops all around Maranello. The pix I posted in #2059 show the largest and newest of the Zanasi shops. Here's some poor iphone pix which I took last week Wednesday 10th May 2017 in Maranello, an open Zanasi truck transporting a freshly painted F12 body to or from the factory to or from Zanasi.
