    Thanks.

They look quite a bit larger than the cheaper ones..

Seems like everyone is getting fender shields of one sort or another.

    Even on the GTs.

I've heard stories of customers whose cars arrived without shields. Sometimes the customer refused the new car. Hand painted might be a solution.

I wonder if Zanasi does the hand painted version?

Thanks for sharing! An elaborate process but also one with a heavy price tag.

Because you're a kind of encyclopedia and the man to ask about anything that has to do with Ferraris, since you've mentioned Zanasi I tried to read a little bit about the type of work they are doing for Ferrari. One of the things that I'm interested to know is if my F12b Grigio Ferro was painted there because I get the impression they are doing all the historical and special colors.

    Thank you in advance.

Nah, it's a matter of capacity. It doesn't make sense to halt the production line in order to paint a single car.

Yes, correct. The majority of the special colors are done by Zanasi.
They have several locations in and around Maranello. Not just the new main building I posted pix of a bit earlier.
Here are some pix of another Zanasi Location (#2), also in the industrial zone and near the factory's school for mechanics.

I love Ferro and have had it myself but the paint process is no different to other metallics. You are paying for rarity and prestige. Like CDF. I do not believe it is painted offsite as there is no delay for Ferro, contrast 6/8 weeks for three layer paints.

Been trying every UK dealer to get an 812 allocation. Actually want to buy and keep an 812. But then you see people like this who get the early cars and just flip them for a quick profit. Bad. True enthusiasts denied. Profit hyenas rewarded.

Like all true masterpieces the 812 devides opinion. I find it the most fascinating looking car ever (with 275 GTB/4 now moved to second place). If only a dealer would take my order. Denied.

If you are a "true enthusiast" you will have no problem getting an 812 based on your historic paying enthusiasm ;-)

No. Haven't tried an EC dealer. Good idea. I may reach out to a dealer in the EC to see if they can get me on the list for a right hand drive car. Feeling pessimistic on basis that, while EC dealer unable lawfully to deny an order (passive sales rules etc.), suspect he might say he won't be able to get me a right hand drive. I will try.

Yes. That's the point. Am true enthusiast who couldn't afford one before this current year so has no track record with this brand to point to. I am not a priority to them, I think, given how popular this model seems to be with those who have history with Ferrari. Just very disappointing when you see some are already looking to sell their early allocation for a premium.

I empathise with your situation. Depending on the state of the speculative end of the market, you may find slots opening up. There are quite a few "allocations" being offered in the UK at around £50-60k over currently, but it would not take a lot to change that situation. Good luck.

I am sorry but Ferrari know their clients super well and these things are very rare. Trust me most who are lucky to get an allocation early are respectful.

I am afraid this is common and you have to work your way up. I went in to a dealer and was treated poorly for my first F and found one who was engaged, since had 12 cars. Some are arrogant.

What country are you in ?
