Thanks. That would be cool as they do start to fade a little over time but that's the way they were. I'll try and see if I have more details on it.

And I couldn't agree more, its always something.

I think this review is really good fun. I tend to like the fast lane truck, the owner may even be on this forum!

Lamborghini's PR folks were pushing all this to add to the mystique in period. The journalists at the time took their word for much of it.

As for reviews, I really like this one.

In most videos they drive like turtles. The car isn't as slow as it seems.

Does anyone know what vehicle the grab handles in the roof came off, two of the three fitted to mine are broken, I could fabricate some out of alloy & cover them with leather but a lot of work.

Still not sure about the proper LM size. It seemed they had metric size on LM.

Bore & Stroke are typically 85.5x75 in the QV

Went up to 86x75 which is around 5228 vs 5167 cc's. It's a very small difference but I still thought it was worth sharing.

Thanks for this information. Do you know anything about the camshafts? My guess is that they are different as well. The LM engine feels to have more torque at lower revs than the QV engine.

To my knowledge the DD LM and QV have identical camshafts. My specs from before/after they were reground are around here somewhere, I'd happily share them.

Was the LM you were in a FI by any chance? FI cars sometimes feel quite strong down low.

As far as FI vs DD it was always my understanding that the cams are the same between those two as well. I have photos from when we had a US car apart in one of my albums.

Tomorrow I'll compare the part numbers in manuals.

This is due to the shorter gearing, the LM does only about 220kmh whereas the QV almost 300.

    True.

Since we were talking about cams I got curious :)

    DD LM002

    001220848
    001220847
    001220846
    001220845

The DD Countach is the same spec **.

    Now the FI LM

    001229637
    001229636
    001229638
    001229639

So the FI car has different cams. However these are not the same as the FI QV.
