I had two motors but sold one. This is the original motor that was just rebuild.
Those are weights to balance the car when on the hoist with the engine is out

I have seen others with red intakes and thought they were ugly but those actually look ok.

Cant wait to see in the car.

Crap. The motor you have has the early cam covers (one that I need) so was hoping you had parts for sale....

The red cam covers were painted with texture and color to match the valve covers. It is not crinkle paint but a texture to make it look like a casting. F355 is one of the few Ferrrais to have so much plastic on its engine. To my eye, the air boxes are so obvious plastic, it makes the engine look cheap and rather dull. Don't flame me it is only a personal opinion.

Ive seen people paint the intake plenums rattle can, gloss red and it looks horrible IMO, but ive always been curious what a matching red crinkle paint would look like. Yours is the first Ive seen and it look awesome! crazy how such a subtle difference is really night and day.

Cant wait to see it in the car

Interesting, never thought of a 355 as a "Classic Rod". :)

I just got my car back from an engine out service last Friday and drove it over the weekend. I'm thrilled around how well it runs and how reliable it's been! Especially as over the last seven years, because of young kids, I've driven it less than 5k miles (to a total of 22k on the clock)... so it sits around a lot.

Every time I crank it, it immediately starts and runs very smoothly. Absolutely no complaints! I attribute 85% to great mechanics like mine or Bradan, etc. who seem to really care about doing a great job, take their time and are very thoughtful in their services. The other 15% I attribute to getting high quality parts... I've been thrilled with the scuderia rampante gold connector kit and recent coolant hose kit that I just had installed.... as well as all the Hill Engineering components...

As I plan to keep the car for a long time, my approach is to have things done right and to not cut corners. Hopefully, following this same MO, with a little luck, will continue to provide me with problem free ownership. Cheers!
