Hamilton rips Indycar drivers or was he jealous of Alonso attention at Indy?

Hamilton took some time out of his day to bury Indycar and its drivers.

If it's so easy, I guess he should come over and win it.

 

So the worlds best driver gets fifth and Indy is easy? No offense to Hamilton but I think he's behind Alonso somewhere. The drivers at Indy are wide ranging in skill, but the top tier are very good and frankly given the right equipment would be compentent F1 drivers, in fact as we know some were. I would challenge Hamilton to hop into the McClaren and spend a few races without the top equipment.

I have less and less time for Hamilton, not that I had much to begin with. Especially after *****ing about Vettel beating Kimi yesterday (ok Vet had / was given the better strategy). But didn't Bottas have to make way for His Lordship a few races ago?

100% he's jealous of the publicity Alonso is receiving. Everyone knows being famous is what Elton really wants.

The worlds current best driver put an impressive show on at Indy, he got in the car from day one and looked comfortable, as he damn well should've been. His race was mega impressive, but didn't run away with it.

Elton just gave another cheap shot in order to elevate himself. He should give Indy a go before running his mouth.

 

If Hamilton had done Indy he would say he was competing against the best "Oval" Drivers in the world.

Ok Lewis...I'm sure guys like Lance Stroll make F1 the series with the best of the best in the world.

 

Alonso was a class act at Indie. Hamilton hasn't been a class act for some time.

Formula 1 has the best drivers in the world -- in the top 6 cars.

Beyond that, they have the best funded drivers in the world.

The upper echelon of any series would be essentially competitive in any other series.

 

I agree. Take the best driver from each major series and put them in the same equipment. If they practice enough on the same track, the results will be nearly identical.

 

Fernando is (one of) the best driver of the world. So wherever he drives, F1 or Indy, with a good car and a non japanese engine, he will have the capacity to win.
Ham can say what he wants, is still jalous of Alonso since they have fought together in 2008 in Mc Laren team.

 

I would love to see Hamilton do the ROC or the Indy 500.

Indy just doesn't have the $$$ to pay the best drivers for a season, those best drivers go elseware, F1, NASCAR, etc. With the driver $$$ available, the talent in a series wanes or waxes.

There are also other factors, how a series is run, but $$$ available to hire drivers is important to getting the best.

There no reason the suggest that Hamilton wouldn't do well given similar circumstances. However, the most important ingredient is desire and motivation to do something different. Apparently, Hamilton is not as motivated as Alonso.

 

Alonso to me didn't seem cocky at all about Indy. Hamilton is cocky mouthed when he breathes POS.
