Yes! Around 120 cars. Created quite a lot of attention in car hating Stockholm. But all the fans cheered!
I had an invite, too, and have entered my Dino. Keeping my fingers (and various other body parts) crossed too! Maybe we shall meet in Maranello?
Interesting. When I checked a few weeks ago, I was told no to the 70th anniv. cars, and it may have since changed. In the end it was a moot point for me as the car hasn't materialised yet. Would be interesting to see how many 70th cars are at the Cavalcade in Puglia next week.
So, only VIP's and 'good' cliënts invited. Rest of the world: stay home! How disgusting. Mr.Luca di Montezemolo and his engagement towards ALL the fans, are bitterly missed. http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/ferrari-discussion-not-model-specific/554790-70th-anniversary-festivities-%40-maranello.html
I think camlet1 and bluebottle were only talking about the concorsa d'eleganza for which enrolled cars are (of course) selected. There will most probably be other activities for all the fans Envoyé de mon SM-G800H en utilisant Tapatalk
Yes, Camlet and I have been invited to the Concorso, which is restricted as per the following which I received from the organisers: "The cars that can be enrolled have to be certified by Ferrari Classiche department that issue Certificates of Authenticity to road-going Ferraris over 20 years old and all Ferrari competition cars, including Formula 1 single-seaters and Special Series of any age. The road cars eligible for the Concourse should be produced until 1974 (Dino series) or 1976 (365 GT4BB), the special series until 2002 (Enzo). The Racing cars eligible for the Concourse should be produced until 1973 (365 GTB4 Comp.)" It would appear from Marcel Massini's posting on the thread http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/fer...maranello.html that there will be no other events. Although I have been invited (because I own a Dino: I have never bought a new Ferrari, and the Classiche certification on my Dino was done by a previous owner, so I am certainly not on their VIP list), I may well not be going. All my efforts to get some information about the event have been met by the equivalent of "pay now, we'll tell you later what you are getting for your money (maybe)". I am deeply unimpressed by this attitude, which seems to typify Ferrari's arrogance. I am certainly not going to fork out over £2,000 and drive my car over 1,000 miles each way, without some idea of what I shall be getting for my money, time and effort, if they can't be bothered to tell me what the event will entail.
More cars added to the auction list 3 more dates added to official calendar: Start the countdown! - Maranello Sotheby 70th Anniversary Rally to Maranello Il 70° Anniversario Ferrari a Maranello
And even more fun for the thousands and thousands of owners and tifosi who stay home, (or were not invited ): the 70 Year Anniversary Show at Fiorano will be broadcasted on RAI 1 (Italy's prime TV Channel) on Saturday 9 September, at 11.30PM (CEST). http://www.gazzetta.it/Formula-1/07-09-2017/mostre-parate-show-via-festa-70-anni-ferrari-70-220403478783.shtml
Any news about GTO tour? I was at 70th but I saw just 1 250gto and 4 288. Do you know something Marcel?
As stated before it should take place somewhere this month (or even this week) but only open to 250GTO owners. Gr. Martin
