True! In my opinion, same is for many other classics, the first and the last model is the most collectable car. I like the pure lines of the P400 with the black trim and the slim line, which looks very feminine and just beautiful. Of course the early cars don´t have the best quality. It was the first production model of the Miura and some improvements came step by step into production. The P400 SV is the best Miura model, regarding quality and drivability. That said, the visual appearance is a matter of taste. The market shows that collectors prefer the SV, but imo the very early P400 will also come into foreground. The P400S is more or less something between the P400 and the P400SV and nothing so special. Just imo the slim body suits perfect to the black trim, white the S and the slim body looks a bit wannabe SV. But thats just my 2cents! Every Miura itself is a piece of art on 4 wheels! We discuss here on a very high level
In my experience the suspension / handling issue with the P400 and P400s is directly related to the lower A arm front bushing. When mine was bad there was an excessive amount of toe in the rear wheels. It did make for some interesting driving experiences as others have described. Fixing this made a huge difference. This bushing is a weak link in the design and needs to be checked regularly. All Lamborghini's made prior to the Miura SV and the Espada have the same basic design and I would expect them all to have the same handling issues when pushed. The SV and Espada was a significant improvement. The introduction of the Countach was another significant upgrade in suspension design. There is a mod called the Wallace link that adds a link between the two pieces of the lower A arm. I would expect this modification to reduce the loads on the front bushing and significantly improve the life of this bushing. I also expect it to make the lower A arm more ridged, which would make it closer to the SV in handling. Personally I have not bothered with the Wallace link. My car is used for grand touring so the original design is adequate. However I have noticed that the last repair of the rear bushing has started to fail again so I will need to rebuild it again. Cheers Jim
Is that true? There are competing claims from Bonnet Djet (first produced in 1962 and later known Matra Djet) and De Tomaso Vallelunga (1964-1968). Of course this doesn't take anything away from the gist of your argument and the fact that the P400 is a stunning and stunningly important car.
The 250 GTO was the ultimate evolution of the 250 series Ferrari. The SV is the ultimate evolution of the Miura. Hence the values. I wouldn't at all be surprised if the the value stretches more than 2 times a P400 or S in the future .

This #0568 is one of 23x real INTERIM... Older restoration well performed at that time by Gary Bobileff for US owner Mr Ramm, then sold to Germany to current owner !
Islero #6342 was belonging to good fellow Avery in Wisconsin, he had the restoration well performed by Gary Bobileff... He owned also this very nice Jarama S #10.442... I had the chance to buy it before him while it was offered on EBay still in its original Argento color, but the seller didn't want to ship overseas and cancelled the highest bid... mine. Later, it was resprayed in orange. Unfortunate, Avery had to sold both cars to the same German collector... Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login

Résults (hammer prices) : - 350 GT = 480 000 (Low Est : 550 000) - Islero = 210 000 (Low Est : 250 000) - Jarama S = 130 000 (Low Est : 160 000) - Diablo = 160 000 (Low Est : 180 000) - Diablo 6.0 SE = 275 000 (Low Est : 300 000)
If the 350 GT is a real interim (the correct name would be 400 GT in that case) the price is quite low in my opinion.
This one is a real Interim... Interim is not link to a label like 350 GT or 400 GT, it is a 350 GT with a 4.0 engine fitted on the production line... The terminology 350 GT or 400 GT is just due to the period customer's choice... to save taxes or not over the declaration of engine capacity ! The period sales manager - Ubaldo Sgarzi - was very "comprehensive" with the Customers, nevermind what was the request, just the result matters in one more sale ! Yes, this is very low figure for a real Interim. But the real question is : Why Artcurial has organised stupidely an Auction sale while Goodwood week end in UK ???

1990 LAMBORGHINI COUNTACH 25TH ANNIVERSARY, DESIGN BY Bertone VIN: ZA9C005A0KLA12923 Estimate US$ 300,000 - 350,000 Lot #96 QUAIL LODGE AUCTION 18 Aug 2017 Carmel, Quail Lodge & Golf Club 5,167cc DOHC 48-Valve V12 Engine 6 Weber Carburetors 335bhp at 7,000rpm 5-Speed Manual Transaxle 4-Wheel Independent Suspension 4-Wheel Disc Brakes *Less than 2,700 Kilometers from new *Highly original and extremely well cared for example *Desirable end-of-the-run carbureted Countach *Offered with copy of factory build records THE MOTORCAR OFFERED Offered here, must be one of the lowest mileage; best preserved Anniversary Countach's available on the market today. Completed at the Sant'Agata-based Lamborghini works during the latter part of 1989 and early 1990; the new supercar was equipped for the European market, and finished in striking Rosso Siviglia red over a cockpit trimmed in black. The finished Countach was delivered later in 1990, presumably through Emilian Auto Spa of Bologna, Italy, to its first owner in the UK. The red Anniversary Countach was later purchased by its second owner, who kept the car in Italy from 2011 to 2014. In 2014, the car was purchased by an American enthusiast and exported to the US. Today, this fantastic Countach presents largely like a new car inside and out. The original black interior shows incredibly well, as does the Rosso Siviglia paint. With less than 2,700 kilometers showing on the odometer and original factory decals and markings intact throughout, this fastidiously preserved Lamborghini offers its next owner a truly magnificent supercar.
