The F50GT also EASILY has the all time production based record at Fiorano. A few sources have suggested power closer to 900 HP, including a race car driver who aired it out for Forza mag.

    True.

I wonder how that affects value. I have never seen a price quoted for any change of hands on one of these.

They are still my favorite all time Fcar. The noise is unbelievable.

I seem to recall just 1.3m, perhaps around 2008?

Any confirmation yet? Are all 3 cars now in the US?

    I do not unfortunately.

See my reply here with current known locations. Info is fresh and from a contact who has had access to two out of the three cars over the years, including involvement in the most recent movement of #003.

I don't think it has been conclusively determined who has ended up with chassis #002 and who got #003. That account is certainly the owner of one of them, and yes that is it.

So JB has one of them on the East Coast, and "mwvmnw" has the other?

Is it safe to say that none of the three cars are still in Japan or the UK?

mwvmnw's was certainly in the UK at one point - his cars seem to bounce around to different parts of the world quite a bit. He used to run plates from the islands of Jersey or Guernsey, but I've heard that they may have closed certain advantageous loopholes there recently.

Two in the USA, one currently in UK/Europe would be how I would call it.

That's an amazing collection. Does he really have two longtail F1 GTRs? I hadn't heard about that...

Yes, in addition to 21R, he picked up 24R from Paul Knapfield and re-liveried it back to FINA. I mentioned it nearly a month ago in the F1 forum, but easy to overlook.

That's incredible. I saw the posts about the GTRs that traded hands and 24R now back to Fina livery, but didn't see that part. This guy has been building my dream collection, LOL! F40 LM, F50 GT, specifically Fina F1 GTR Longtails...wow. He seems to be the type of collector that keeps adding and not switching out cars. I bet those cars will stay in his collection for a very long time if not forever...I have no hope of ever acquiring one. ;)

I'd guess that's 21R only because of the lower lip on the front bumper is black like I last saw it and the windscreen Warsteiner logo. If 24R was redone in Fina livery, that lower front lip part should be white with a continuous portion of the red flag pattern going down it and the windscreen logo should be BMW Motorsport on a white background.

I have the feeling that maybe the F150 Laboratory can be faster than of the F50 GT.
My thinking is based on the technological advances produced in the 17 or 18 years of difference between the two cars.

Have the FINA liveries been perfectly applied?

I know #23R doesn't look quite right with a few stickers in the wrong place or wrong font.

I wouldn't count on any of them being a perfect match to how they were in period, unless they are like the '95 Le Mans winner which has never changed liveries or been refurbished.

Also most of the liveries saw subtle changes over the course of their campaigns - there were even bodywork changes to a lot of the GTRs as development continued throughout each season. An owner and the restorer (or someone making a diecast model or video game wire frame) then have to choose the point which makes the most sense to replicate given what they have to work with, and the sometimes limited reference materials. Overall I think most of the GTRs that wear a period livery are well executed.

After a few months of pondering possibilities I was able to confirm that the F50 GT in Testa Rossa Sam's collection is the final car, chassis #003.

That makes the one in Pennsylvania the former Okamoto car, chassis #002.

That is #two and #three so can you tell us the current status of chassis #001?

Was one of these three cars (chassis #003 maybe?) shown at the Canadian National Ferrari meet in Toronto back in 1998? There was one F50 street version there from Washington state.

The owner of the F50Gt at MMC also has a 250 and also a 275 6C, a stunning car which eh kindly showed to me.

Lots of interesting stuff in the garages at MMC.

When the day comes thta we really want to know how the new Ford GT really runs on track compared to others, most likely it will be at MMC.

Interestingly many memebers also own and race miata.

Still with its original owner, Art Zafiropoulo, in Northern California as far as I am aware. I doubt he'll be selling it either as I've heard he has turned down some pretty generous offers.

Is this a photo from that display? I am fairly certain this was #001.
