Today I put together my options for my upcoming GTC4 Lusso build. This a car I am very excited about and something that I have looked forward to since its launch. Keep in mind that I have have a CaliT HS with full carbon treatment TDF/Sabbia combo; sort of looking for a complimentary config.

GTC4 Lusso (Roso Mugelli / Tortora)
    Calipers in Nero Color
    Rims Forged (Diamond Cut)
Front Grill with Dark Chrome Edges
    Embroidered Prancing Horse (Nero)
    Sport Exhaust Pipes
    Floor Mats w/Embroidered Logo
    Scuderia Shields on Fender
    Passenger Display
Embroidered Prancing Horse on Headrest (Nero)
Headliner Tortora (with Filo Special Rosso stitching) - Pano Roof (50/50 on this)
    Stitching Throughout (Filo Special Rosso)
    Idea - Carpets (Bordeaux)
    Idea – Boot Carpet (Nero)

Thanks all, any input is welcomed :)

Beautiful choices for interior/exterior! Just tastefully done!. Don't change a thing...except....If I were you, I would cancel the passenger display and the shields. Just my personal taste. And get the Pano roof, especially if you live in cold Toronto?

no shields, plus LEDs, the shields look weird on this one, the wheel/car looks cheap without the LEDs

Whatever it might help you in defining your final specification of your Lusso, I share my view and real life experiences with the Lusso. Clearly, tastes are always very individual.....

I have a friend how has the GTC in Rosso Mugello. As you know the color is non metallic. I have Rosso Maranello on my Lusso und it looks like Rosso Mugello when the sun is hidden, but then changes the look significantely once light hits the color be it artificial or real sun light. I would always go again for this color choice. My friend also had to admit when he first saw my car that Rosso Maranello is a different ball game in terms of depth and appereance ( it's also more expensive as it is a triple layer color).

The Tortora leather does no look as good live as it looks in the configurator. I have seen and driven a couple of Lusso's at a Ferrarievent with this leather and I have noticed that it gets dirty quite fast. I then decided not to go with Tortora for my own Lusso but have chosen beige tradizione instead where I am very happy about. I was also looking also at Cuio, but Cuio did not look as appealing live as it did in the configurator as well. I had it on my FF and there it was perfect but for the Lusso it has a different look.

The shields just look great on this car. I would definately go for them however the LED's I would skip for the Lusso as it is a GT and not a race car. The steering wheel just looks fine as it is and I like it much more than in the FF.

Go for the pano roof! Eventough you will not be able to enjoy it yourself while you are driving it is awesome for the people in the back!
I have the passenger display myself. It's more of a toy but it's special and my various copilots including my wife and kids like it alot.

I have blackended my trunk as well with the plain vanilla carpet. I would never go for leather there because you will use this trunk regurarly. Black matches the rest of the interior as well. Black cavallinos on the head rest suit your spec well, but I would also go for black stitches throughout the interior. Neither the Special Rosso (too bright) nor Bordeaux match your outside color I could imagine. The inside would look too busy then IMHO.

The black calipers are a matter of taste as well. My friend with the mugello has this color as well combined with a black rev counter. If it is of interest for you I have chosen yellow calipers and a yellow rev counter which I personally think suit the Lusso for these details even better (not to mix up with choosing Giallo as a color for the car in general, as yellow does not suit the Lusso at all) and I have recieved a lot of compliments so far from other people that have spontanously approached me at the gas station or wherever I park my car. Apparently, a lot of Red and just little Yellow go well with oneanother....

As a matter of fact, I have changed my original front grill with dark chrome edges to chromed edges as it fits the diamond forged wheels much better unless you would choose to take the darker version of the rims.

My last advice for choosing your final spec is to see all these color options live and not only in the configurator. The configurator is good for giving a general impression about the general look, but it is quite heavily distorted when you see these configurations in real live. There is a real risk of disappointmet then.

Rosso Mugello is a fantastic colour-sporty yet restrained.
Have it on my 612 and always receives positive comments.

Is that a carbon fiber side skirt ? never seen it before on a FF

@OP : Mugello is an excellent choice. Darker red is perfect for the "GT Spirit " the lusso has

Thank you, as everyone knows these configurations go all over the place and today my mind was drifting everywhere.

I love LEDs on my Cali but on a V12 .. I am torn to be honest. My FF didn't have them and I didn't entirely miss them. Shields are so personal but I love them, don't think I could ever spec a Ferrari without them - weird I know.

Maloja I really can't thank you enough for all this great input. I appreciate the time you took to write this all out - thanks again. I will be visiting the dealership this week (Thursday) and hope to have a good understanding of the direction this car will take. Today I flipped all the way back to my FF combo of Grigio SilverS on Terra Bruciata but I want to something different. Will get back to you all and tonight I will be back online looking at different cars and ideas. I do agree on the Pano Roof and Passenger Display as nice things for those riding along - again its all about the amazing experience.

    You are very welcome UHN2000!

Please find attached some pictures of my car in different sunlight and artificial light conditions as well as the front grill in black which I had at delivery and then switched to chromed edged combinded with the diamond cut Rims (those are the best looking by far for the Lusso in my opinion). I would summarize it that way: While Rosso Mugello has one look, Rosso Maranello is the chameleon including the state of Rosso Mugello. This is what the color makes so special to me. Most of the times the color looks dark red like a candy apple and starts to glow to a certain extent in the bright sunlight. This is then the time when people around me start to get being amazed about the depth of that color because they have never seen something like this in person before; it's just not red paint!

I have a Rosso Maranello Speciale and FF. These pictures do not even come close to showing the depth of this colour. It is spectacular - like a deep, deep, liquid blood red in the sunshine, and as Maloja said, more like Mugello in the shade.

Personally I would think long and hard about Mugello for the Lusso, which is a car that needs metallic paints to show off its lines best. I have heard Rosso Fiorano is similar to Maranello but not three layer and so a cheaper option.

My former FF was exactly in Rosso Fiorano as well :). Yes, indeed it is not a triple layer color. I like Rosso Fiorano a lot in the sun where the dark red really comes alive. However, when then sun is not shining ( that happens often where I live) or under twilight conditions Rosso Fiorano becomes rather bold and adds an orangish element to it which which started to bother me. That's why I excluded it for the Lusso color decision right from the beginning.

In general some of the Red Ferrari colors have only subtle differences but they are worthwhile analyzing in detail before a final color decision is made. For example Rosso California looks great in my opinion under artificial light as it was promoted by Ferrari at the lanuch of the Lusso but when I saw this color later live under twilight/shadow conditions I was disappointed. It had lost all the appeal that it showed under the perfectly arranged showroom light bulps......for me a color, whatever it is grey, black, silver etc. needs to look sexy on a Ferrari all the time and under all light conditions.

Attached you can probably see what I mean about Rosso Fiorano on my Former FF.

Thanks Maloja, I could never get tired of elaborate comparisons of the different metallic reds, with pictures this becomes about the best read of the month.

One day I will spec one for myself and I must be prepared to make the right choice when the time comes :)

Looks awesome in the sun! However, when I look at pictures without it, the color has quite an intense brownish touch. Is this correct? I have never seen that color in person.

Yes you are correct! The color looks rather flat on a dull day. One owner actually used the term 'muddy' to describe it. He lived in the northwest USA where it rains a lot...

There is endless interest in color but at the same time for the owner it can be a very personal choice. Some owners pick the car and let their wife pick the color. One owner let his daughter pick the color. Another Ferrari owner created his own color and named it after his daughter.

Thanks for sharing these incredible pictures - I must admit that your paint selection is special - I remember seeing it on an FF at the dealership (we all agreed it was mind blowing). I am going to the dealership tomorrow (hopefully) and will check it all out the Rosso Mugello. Agreed the chromed edges are the way to go as are the diamond forged wheels. So far I think I am good with the options, all I need to do next is figure out the colour combos.

Another car I really like (that I drove as a demo) is the Bianco Fuji (triple) on Blu Sterling.. really love the way it all comes together (white on blue with blue calipers a bit of yellow here and there). I can do the pano, passengerd, white stitching, and no need for the carbon as the silver bits fit in great here. Also I think it will be easy to maintain, I am quite busy with work/family etc. I don't have the time cycles to consistently worry about paint and interior staining.

Fully agree with Bianco Fuji - very nice color! White models the sharpness of the Lusso out the most where as black hides all the lines which is a pitty for this car.
The first demo car I drove at my dealer was Bianco Avus with exactly these blue seats you are mentioning. For my personal taste the seats looked very special but too much blue. It did not feel natural enough for me as leather needs to be brownish or blsck to me somehow.

By the way, I covered my car with protection for stone chips. It works very well so far and would recommend it for triple layer colors anyway. Furthermore, I recently did also get a nano coating on my car. This stuff is really fascinating to me. The real color of the car gets out even more and shines like at first delivery when the car was the cleanest. I also can now manually clean my car with only a high pressure hose and warm and cold water at the gas station booths and all the dirt gets off the car! Aditionally it gets me even some more protection for light scratches. They gave me a three year warranty on it and I can drive by every year to brush the coating up on top. Cool stuff so far.

You are welcome Garretto. I also find it interesting to discuss and evaluate colors of Ferrari. Many of them are just so beautiful and unique!

Another color, alothough not redish strikes me the most every time I see it in person - Canna di Fucile. Pictures just do not the justice in the internet how special this color is in reality. After Rosso Maranello it would be my second choice for the Lusso.

Attached I have a picture in CDF originally posted by Griffon83 earlier this year in this forum, however without shields which I am personally missing :)

Additionally there is a link to Josh Cartu's new Ferrari in Canna di Fucile which I do not know if someone has already posted it in this forum (with yellow calipers on it, it would be perfect!)

Just thinking of resale. Shields and LEDs matter. Plus the Lusso looks so much better with carbon
