AWWWW, DAMMIT!!! I knew not to click on this thread again.... KNEW!! A friend inherited one, many years ago; his sketchy brother sold/traded it, but I got to shoot it a bit. Fun little plinker, for sure. I know better, but I'll take it. No, I won't. Yes, I will. No, I won't. Yes, I will. I KNEW not to click, 'cuz I'd do something silly again...... I'll take it. Funny thing - That same friend used to collect limited edition knives like your Gerber Paul. If he still did, I'd be tempted.
How many circumcisions are on that knife? Vasectomies? Is this the knife you did you OWN vasectomy with? Being a pee pee doc as you are, any sharp edged item sold by you might have a certain, um, patina that could be, well . . . interesting, so I thought you might want to take this opportunity to have full disclosure. D
Consider me plan B on the Beretta 21a. Neat little gun! Uro, do you have any single action .45LC wheel guns coming up? Vaquero or something similar? Any lever guns?
Beretta 21A and Gerber knife sold! You know, it is interesting the knife in the comp link has much discolored grips. It says it is the "final edition". That makes me wonder if they ran out of the good ivory and made the last one from the culled pieces?
S&W 617 six inch full lug stainless .22LR. Full size heavy revolver. Makes a great companion to the 629 listed next. They feel fairly similar and the .22 is obviously cheap to shoot. Excellent condition with a little rubbed area pointed out in photo with the oak stick. With box and all papers. The box got wet in storage ( gun was not in it) so is in poor condition. Good Guy Price $550 plus $25 shipping FFL to FFL If bought with the 629, total $1150, free shipping. That is quote of the month material right there. I'm not in the market (no permit here in MA) but am enjoying this thread immensely. This was my favorite post so far! JP
I have a similar AA, without such significant provenance. Wanting to hunt elk instead of white tail, and be prepared for the occasional grizzly encounter (no fool, that John Glenn), mine is of .22 Magnum caliber. The astounding accuracy remains the same.
Alan- Affirmative, Lewis and Clark's first encounter with a grizzly took quite a few shots and ran at least one of the hunters up a tree. A .22 would not work too well.
