So I finally had chance to drive the F430! What a rush. Looking for market data on price range for a good well cared for F430 spyder/coupe models. Price range from online is huge. What should one expect to pay for a 2007-2008 F430 with F1 automatic transmission that has not been abused?

Mileage can vary the price. Also number of Owners. Accidents.
I found what I bought my 2007 Spider F1 which had 11,000 miles to be pretty much on for Market Value and that was 121K.
Options could also have some impact too

Comparing 07 and 08 can be a little difficult because 08 will have CC brakes, and 07 may or may not, since was still an option. Also 08/09 have a little bit smoother shifting (so I am told) based on software and mechanical changes to the transmission. (no, you cannot update an earlier car to the 08/09 transmission specs)

spyders are going to be $10k more. mileage is a huge factors. options less so but important: carbon fiber driving zone, leather headliner/shelf, yellow tack, shields, etc. I would say $110k for coupe and $120k for spyder with around 10-12k miles.

Thanks, I looked at a 2005 F430 coupe with 11k miles for 105k and another this one a 2008 F430 spyder with CC brakes both F1 transmission for 148k which seems high. Definitely see the big difference in performance between the 360 and F430 and rather get the 430 at this point. Love the comfort as well. The Lambos I drove killed my back driving them after few minutes. Glorious soundtrack! Funny thing was driving one, passed a school and all the kids were waving. Need to take my nephew for a ride after I buy one.

I have my 2006 TdF Blue coupe listed in the for sale section for $102,000. Really a great car that has been trouble free during my ownership.

Besides CC brakes what was the key difference between 2005 and 2008/2009 F430 cars? Is performance about the same?

Aha thanks well definitely really enjoy the 430 over the 360 and Gallardo I drove. I would have to get used to driving such a wide car that is low to ground. Parking would be tough.

Sorry you would have to search here, there is a list....but as you can imagine, there were a lot of changes throughout production. Most were minor, but a few more significant ones I can remember:

2005 very early cars had 360F1 pump that was taxed running the transmission and Ediff. Mid 2005 Ferrari came out with a larger pump. Not all early cars got the update...as it was only replaced if it failed.

2008 the Mark II exhaust manifolds went into production, and was available as a warranty replacement.

2008/2009 all had CC brakes standard and the updated transmission and software that was supposed to make for smoother shifting. I have spoken to a couple Ferrari techs and an owner that had a 06 and 08, and confirmed the 08/09 shifting was improved/better.

Many thanks. I was originally considering a Lamborghini Gallardo but after driving both Ferrari and Lamborghini models prefer the comfort and driving characteristics of Ferrari to Lamborghini. Ferrari cars just are more fun to drive! How much do CC brakes cost to replace?

CC brake job will be around $20K if all 4 rotors and pads need replacing. ON the bright side, they will probably never wear out under normal street driving conditions.

I have 23K miles on mine. No problems.

Oem Brembo CC pads (front and rear) for the 430 Scuderia are available from Eurospares for only $1435 with Fed Ex delivery. Amazingly fast delivery. That is less than half what the dealer gets.

How much are brake replacement parts and labor for non CC cars? Spoke with the upset GM today at FoS because of my honest review posted only. So GM tells me he paid 125k for the car.

Agree and even the GM admitted as such. Will see what they are willing to negotiate on. I found 07 Spyder online in great shape for under 90k but not sure what it needs without more detailed inspection. The only 430 that are worth a premium are the Scuderia and 15M Scud cars. But the base 430 performance suits me fine. I get enough rush under 4 seconds to be happy for life.

From Ricambi: steel rotors are $490 each. Pads are $350 front set, $273 rear set. Labor should be a few hours @$125 - $150 per hour. Probably close to $3K to complete the job.

You can always make an offer (on the FoS car) at what you think the car is worth.

An 07 430 spider for under 90k will have a story... when it sounds to good to be true... and as they say, the most expensive Ferrari is a cheap Ferrari...

True, that is what makes buying these cars a challenge such wide fluctuation in market prices.

I think though from what one well know exotic car dealer guy who sells and buys different exotics was saying online is that the real actual market for F430 is between 90-120k based on year, condition, options, and mileage. Also, the Scuderia and manual F430 cars sell for more.

Using some basic statistics math, one can get a ball park of 90-100k for a decent 2005-06 car and 105-120k for later models (2007-09) based on condition and mileage. If I had Matlab handy I could dump the data into a model and extrapolate some hard data but I just ran a quick analysis. Also the depreciation is still taking place on the 430 model. So each month and year drops value more.

One thing I really do want and MUST have in a car are the Daytona seats! I hate the basic seats in the one 430 car I looked at since they don't contour well to my body type. They are horrid like the standard Gallardo seats in Lambos. Unfortunately, only half the cars have Daytona seat as these are extra option. I am willing to pay more for a car that has these as a must option in the car.

On the 1st point, very true. As the F430 continues to age, the prices will become more disparate as the good ones pull away from the poorly kept ones. You can see this with older models, too (e.g. 308, 328).

In our part of the world, the F430 has actually found a floor and has even ticked up a bit. I can't see these cars depreciating by much more.
