    I thought I'd deviate from the norm and do something different for my 488 Spider. It is a satin Blu Corso, with satin carbon fiber external pieces (side intake fin, side skirts, rear light surrounds and front splitter). The interior is black with blue stitching, extended leather, no extra carbon except the LED steering wheel. Instead of carpet I specified black alcantera.

    It is due at the dealer any day now. I can't wait to see it in the flesh.

    At first I thought you had a white car with blue roof. To each his own I figured. Lol. But the blue corsa is spectacular. Saw one in the flesh a few weeks back. It also had black interior and blue stripe. It looked really nice. Congrats on the incoming.

    Satin is almost like pearl. If the underlying color has a lot of metallic in it, it appears similar to pearl, but without the gloss.

    Modern satin finish has a clear coat (unlike old matte finishes which had no clear coat and was impossible to maintain) that diffracts light instead of reflecting light like a gloss clear coat.

    It hides surface scratches really well but you can't polish it or use a traditional wax. There are protectors you can use, Dr. Beasley's is the best.

    I saw it in flesh about a month ago, when I was making a factory tour. It has just been rolled out of the assembly. I must say, that it looked really impressive...

    What luck! I was at the factory about 2 weeks ago hoping to see it but well aware that it was probably already at a dock for transport.

    Yes, probably. I saw ot on 17th May and it was already on its wheels. But really - it looked so special I thought it was a part of the unique 70th Anniversary lineup. Beautiful car.

    Wow, that is going to be stunning! Well done for making such a unique and amazing choice. How much was the charge for the paint? I imagine it was quite zingy. :)

    I've never seen a car covered so much in a white wrap in the factory photo. Must have something to do with the matte clear coat as my triple
    Layer Bianco Fuji spider photo I got a few weeks ago didn't have that covering. Therefore it doesn't have to do with Extra protection they give to Extra campo paint jobs? Anyway, can't wait to see that car. I bet it will be amazing

    Matte is flat. Satin has a sheen to it. Think of an ingot of silver.

    Actually I don't know. There were a bunch of things that I didn't get a price for like the satin carbon fiber and alcantera carpets.

    I am bracing myself for the worst!

    Perhaps the protective covering wasn't taken off before the photo like most other photos. Maybe they took the photo on a Friday at 4:58p. 😜

    You mentioned your car was due "any day". Did you pay to fly it to the states, I got my photo around may 15 and my car won't arrive for another week (last week it was in customs.) but I took the standard slow boat....
