Can anyone provide a picture or explain where the hazard relay is to be located. I attached a picture of what I'm referring to.

This morning when I went to take the car out for a drive I noticed mine hanging below the dash. From looking under the dash I could not see where it fell from. I pulled the instrument cluster and couldn't see from above either. It's on a bracket, so it must have been bolted to a block someplace in the area beneath or behind the steering wheel.

I searched a few different ways on here but only found threads detailing problems with hazard lights and electrical. Everything on my car works, this thing just came loose and I want to put it back but can't seem to spot the placement.

Work shop manual and owner's manual doesn't show where it's located either.

    Thanks.

It's directly above the normal front luggage compartment release handle at the very top of the carpet. If there is no screw or bolt, it may have fallen behind the carpet. I believe it mounts with the relay above the holder (rather than hanging down).

It's for both hazard and turn.

You may need to remove the kickplate on the side to fold back the carpet enough to see the screw hole. I seem to recall there are two holes close to each other. On my car, one is unused.

Thanks Ian. I have a US spec car, LHD. No kickplate on the left side. But sure enough, I pulled the carpet down just above the frunk release handle, and there were two blocks (the white plastic things inserted into holes to receive screws). So I presume this is where it came from.

I can't pull the carpet all the way down since the frunk handle and dead pedal hold it in place, but I'm pretty sure I feel something behind the carpet, maybe it's the screw. I may try to send a scope down there to verify, or just reinstall the relay with a new screw.

    Thanks again.

    Ah, good point.

I think I used a small magnet on a stick to fish out the screw (I can't recall if there was a washer, too), but the LHD version may prohibit this.

Anyway, sounds like you've found the right spot :D

    Cheers
