I found both the 458 and the 488 very 'difficult' in photos (and still do) and, of course, the FF/Lusso is generally agreed to be 'challenging'. In the flesh, though, they're different cars. I think Ferrari's current design language needs the 3rd dimension to work properly. I also suspect they work best when viewed from an eye level POV (intentionally designed as such) and the low dramatic angles often chosen by photographers do the cars no favours. I've had to reconsider all of the current Ferraris (bar, perhaps, the F12) upon seeing them in the flesh, so I'm confident that this one is going to work.

I really hope so! To me it's missing elegance in the pictures. It's almost as if it is trying to compete with other sports cars for attention instead of paving the way and letting the others catch up. There are many elements that don't look distinctively "Ferrari" to me. But I'm sure that all would become irrelevant after the first drive😉.

Looks like GT in that pic, I agree, and like you that was always one of my two best options so great to see it suits the car as well as we anticipated. Next up I would like to see GS, my other option.

    You forgot GF !

There also CdF that I love more and more. I feel it will look great on the 812

In general, I think the dark colors will suit the 812 line better

At first I thought it was CDF, but now I have had a a look on my desktop it looks more GS ----- you see CDF? The slight hint of gold hue gives away CDF

At first I thought CDF as it looks quite dark on the sides but not sure.

Olivier, Tim and other grey aficionados? ;-)

    I agree!

But the standard wheels are very nice too!

The car looks good with either choice.

What is the upcharge for the new forged rims?

Perhaps U.K. buyers can chime in...

Logic says GS as much more likely than CDF as a press car and also it just doesn't have quite the tones of CDF albeit that could be the photography.

Don't know if that's the same car but that grey is dark like CdF for me...

Even the most serious grey worshipers have trouble distinguishing CdF from GS... they are close and you can easily be fooled by the lightening

I have no idea how Ferrari is doing that, but every single generation of V12 cars sounds better and better. Love it! <3
