A little project I put together this week. Travel humidor thats durable & roomy enough that I can bring enough to share with friends, or I can bring some variety. Since it's see-thru, I can keep an eye on contents and humidity/temp without cracking it open.

It's a little short for longer cigars but I like the robust band size, and it holds 9 robust sized perfectly, with a cutter, lighter, digital hygrometer, and humidifier element. There are 4 compartments. The divider is floating. Originally this plastic tube was a pencil/pen holder, according to the label.

Tube is 6" high by 4" diameter.

By the time you buy all that stuff you probably could have just sprung for one of these. I have a couple different sizes, don't think I paid more than $25 or so for the big one I have. Just put a few drops of humidor juice in the little pad and away you go.

Yours looks like a good solution too. Before I built my ice-box-ador I used a big plastic tote as a humidor. It worked well for a couple years.

I use 65% silica bead. I find the 70% is too wet.
    My sticks are at 65%/70

Finally calmed down enough to kick back. You guys have posted a lot of things I need to find and try. I have a decent store/humidor close by but they don't have everything. Do you buy local or online? Online from who? Based on comments think I'll pass on trying to order Cubans.

Taking a one-handed pic with an iPad is a royal pain.

I dont have any really good stores close to me so I generally order online. I like www.cigarsinternational.com or if you watch closely sometimes you can find a good deal on America's #1 Online Cigar Auction - first, best, biggest! - CigarBid.com

Someone here also turned me on to www.neptunecigar.com.

    All good sources.

Had this tonight at my buddies place. I forgot to grab any cigars on the way out the door. It was pretty good but started out a bit harsh almost. Ended up pretty tasty toward the end though.
