Great picture! Was at a supercars of Essex meeting at a posh kebab restaurant, The Fat Turk. Where did you see this shot from Joe? I would like a high res copy.

I do love this car. Far too much to be considered normal :) But what the hell. Live once etc.

Here is another angle. Lovely arse!

    Cheers

A pair of Downdrafts spotted in London in the late 80s, I believe these are Rob Capp's Bianco Perlato car and the AUTOCAR magazine test Giallo car.

Was the picture taken by you? If so I'm happy to give credit. That said, I see my copyrighted images posted all over the internet and when I encounter them I simply smile and am glad somebody thought they were good enough to re-post!

Meanwhile, is this car JLA12290? If so I belive it was originally delivered to Emilianauto in Blu Acapulco-Blue. It was owned Stefan Sehring of Frankfurt, Germany, I'm not sure if he still owns it of not. Anyway I think Ive posted the car earlier in the thread http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/144399517-post1237.html & http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/144399523-post1238.html & http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/144484023-post1709.html

The Kreissing (sp) exhaust looks and sound HORRIBLE. Sorry, just entirely does not fit the car or era- to each his own though.. just my opinion.

Respect of the originality is one thing, objective.

But you should not judge what is a matter of taste.

You can be both objective & subjective on a public forum, as he said "just my opinion".

It's just conversation & for fun. Some like that exhaust, some don't. Myself, I like the sound, but don't like the looks or the price (10k plus?). The pipes are all over the place looking like spaghetti.

    So?

It's his opinion that the exhaust sounds horrible, and he is allowed to voice it on a public forum, response to sound is subjective and doesn't necessarily need to be objective, although the latter is always nice.

    Let's review:

You introduced a video of a 25th Anniversario (off-topic for this thread FWIW) sporting an aftermarket exhaust that sounds like what can only be described as some kind of boat.

Despite the fact that Ken offered the humble proviso that this was "just my opinion" you responded by scolding Ken with your remark "you should not judge what is a matter of taste."

This is where you erred, and accordingly, I called you out, because Ken can judge the sound of the exhaust system you decided to introduce here for subjective consideration if he wishes, at no point is he under any obligation to be objective.

Now, if you have some Downdraft material (images, illustrations, history, technical information, production information, or related remarks) for this thread so that we may remain on-topic, it'll be very welcome and much-appreciated.

    Thanks!
