Impressive race by Ricciardo and Stroll. Nice comeback by Bottas after causing the incident with Kimi. Seb made a major mental error and cost the team a victory. Hamilton reconfirmed he truly is a chump by his brake test and then pretending that it was all Seb's fault. Both Seb and Lewis should have been disqualified and not allowed to restart in my view. Neither of them were innocent and both damaged their legacy today.

I am not trying too hard to pan Seb's performance. On the contrary, I always have been a great supporter of him - even during his stay at Red Bull.

He had every right to be p***ed off with Loulou brake testing him. I only feel that there was more in it for him today and that he kind of threw it away by bumping into Lewis.

When viewing the incident live (and for the first time), I even had the impression that Seb lost somewhat control over his steering, and never meant to bump intentionally into Loulou.

The laps Seb managed before serving his penalty were absolutely fantastic. A lesser driver wouldn't have pulled that one off...

He keeps underscoring his general attitude of unsportsmanship and disingenious behaviour...

    Very, very, unlikeable character.

+1 the actual professionals were on the podium unlike Vettel and LH. Not missed by me today at all. I am much less a Vettel fan after last year and his rants on the radio. Life's too short to care about him or his ways. Same for LH. Old news now.

He did well today, but let's not overlook the fact that he only finished on the podium due to just about every other car on track having a problem/accident/incident.

When he drives to a podium on pace and ability, without every other car doing their best to drop to the back of the pack or completely out of the race altogether, then I will be impressed!

So Ham is back to being a prick by slowing the field down during safety cars.... Not the first time, and given the lack of penalty probably won't be his last again now too.

Have to agree, amazed at the hatred on here for Hamilton when Vettel has thrown away valuable points for the team today.

They've both idiots and both set a poor example. World Championships are won and lost on days like today.

He better be! It was a very stupid move, hurt himself and more important hurt Ferrari. He is lucky all he got was a 10 sec stop and go. Purposely hitting another car in this day and age? Just crazy!

About Hamilton´s breaktest, the telemetry would show if he did it deliberately or not. Vettel had a SERIOUS brain fade, not proper of a world champion. I had the feeling that the bump he gave to Hamilton was not deliberate, but that he was so busy yelling and waving his fist in anger that he forgot the steering wheel for a moment. An idiotic move anyway, he could have won the race easily.

The good news? He widened a bit his lead in the championship in a race that yesterday looked more like a damage control situation and that in race pace the Ferraris can still put a fight.

Vettel, both on the radio and in the interview, sounded like he still wasn't aware that he'd let the car drive into Ham.
Dude, when you take your hands off the wheel to sign language curse, where the car goes *is* your issue. ;)

    Attack of the red mist.

And we haven't heard the last of the Bottles/Kimi issues.

A tragedy of errors. Cue the calliope music.

    And what's with Williams?
Are they contractually obligated to keep pulling their cars away from the front?
Came into the red in 3rd and 4th, and Massa's car was suddenly broken after the red when it wasn't before.
With the Ham/Vettel fiascos, Williams could have had a 1-2 finish.
(It was Massa's car problems that let Ric pass both Williams.)
Then suddenly Bottle's car was *that* much faster than the (Merc engined) Williams on the last lap?

Did you catch Daddy Stroll thanking Massa for teaching the kid to drive? ;)

Think the team will be telling Ham to stop whining about the "slow" (Mercedes) pace car? :p

This is what angers me, how many hundreds of people have put there heart and soul into building that car, getting it onto the grid and supporting the driver, only for him to use it in this way. 8 year olds at the Kart track have more sense.

I think you need to admit your own mistake. Lewis inadvertently screwed his own race by causing the rear end with Seb. Seb took his left hand off the wheel when he tried to come closer to yell at Lewis and he paid for his lapse in judgment. His problem was making contact, not for pulling alongside to complain.

Lewis had the pace before he backed Seb up. Sky commented that Lewis shaved 50% off an 80-something kph pace as he went through that corner and then blamed the PC which was far off in the horizon. Lewis needs to focus on his own race instead of trying to put other people down or trip people over.

3 penalty points for Vettel. Now on 9 points. Close to a race ban.

The stewards have just announced that Vettel has received 3 penalty points on his racing licence, taking him to 9 points in a 12 month period.

3 more points in that 12 month period and he will get a race ban.

When you hear this, it sounds as though Vettel is one of the dirtiest drivers on track, but that is simply not the case!
