So you guys remember the coolant leak? So yesterday, I sat in the car and turned the key so I could roll up the windows. I didn't start the car, just left the key on long enough to get the glass up.

Coolant leaked out and pooled on the garage floor again. It hadn't done it in all the time the car sat idle since I last drove it.

So what could be the issue there? It leaks when the key is ON.

I as going to say the same thing. I believe there is a pump (common on many cars) that recirculates the coolant up to the heater core in the dash. That pump is located in the front trunk. So it is pressurizing the system with coolant when the ignition is turned on (and the HVAC system is on). I would suspect there is a leak in one of the hoses or the heater core...time to remove the trunk liner and investigate where the coolant is coming from.

If you need that pump, I have a brand new one! Purchased a new one only to find out HVAC multi pin connector was the problem... PM me if needed...

If you pull off the undertray there is a connection roughly under passenger seat I think. Mine leaked there a little. It travels underneath on the undertray till it hits a gap.

Great news, should be a connection then, not the waterpump itself. Could still be the connection to the waterpump however (with pressure from the heater helper pump). The large diameter rubber hose that goes to the aluminium pipes that run across from side to side. If the hoses there are not moist, then it is most likely underneath the car.
As said above, remove the undertray and you will be able to locate it easily.

If it is your front pump it looks like this.
Replaced mine, the hardest part of this fix it getting that fricken carpet out and back in.
If this pump fails fluid gets everywhere below it, so tracking it down can be a chore.
It will soak the carpet, that's a guarantee.

    Oops sideways

The replacement @ $322 didn't alert me... guess I'm "used to" Ferrari pricing as well. ;)

I always call Daniel and just order the part, later I always find it somewhere else ......
Usually the exact same part at a much cheaper price :)
I think when I called the Ferrari dealer they were talking $700 range or close so anything less was a steal.

Guess I forgot the link to FCPEuro

    https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/vw-engine-auxiliary-water-pump-0392020024

    $66, fee shipping.

electrical connections could be different, but easily adapted.

Wow! Thanks for all the help, guys. I was really hoping it wasn't the water pump since I just replaced it last year. I'll get under there this weekend and have a look.
