Good eye and I noticed it the first time I looked at the car as well. It is off by nearly a 1/4" over the length of the badge. I am going to have the dealer look into it although I am sure they will give me a story about being applied by hand and each car being unique. I think the badges are just adhered on and may be either heating and shifting or re-adhering will solve the issue. I am hoping it is not pinned through the body and hence mounted crooked permanently. At least it the Pinanfarina badge is straight on the passenger side Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
When mine was wrapped they removed the Pininfarina badges and because they told me it's very difficult to glue them back properly afterwards, two new ones were ordered. When the car was finished the new badges hadn't arrived yet so I picked it up without them picture 1). One week later I went back to the detailer to place the badges and he had already all the dimensions por the correct positioning. While I was watching, the detailer asked a young employee to place the badges and gave him all the sizes and indications so he started the operation on the left side of the car picture 2). When he finished (Picture 3) I looked and instinctively I felt it didn't feel as before but I didn't say anything and in the meantime the detailer arrived and he looked and he immediately said that's not right remove it while the glue hasn't hardened. The young guy had taken one of the dimensions from a different reference point and the badge was ok in height but not in positioning. Eventually everything was put back right and when the job was finished I went for a drive and took Picture 4) Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I didn't know you had such a great grey F12. I absolutely love it. The last picture is damn perfect. The color matching grey wheels are perfect. I don't remember if they where available on the standart catalog or if they had to be special requested
Thank you Olivier. This car only had one previous owner that maintained it in immaculate state and that was Ferrari SPA in Maranello that used it in the Mille Miglia 2015 as the oficial car and also in saloon exhibitions. I did a paint correction before applying the ceramic coating and the wrapping and now it looks even better than when I received it. Concerning the grey wheels which look good with the grigio Ferro body color, I'm not sure if they were on the standard catalog or if they had made specially.
Coming next week or the week thereafter. And no, it's not black and not blue. Marcel Massini Image Unavailable, Please Login
No. Not Verde British or Verde Zeltweg. It is Verde Seabird. Non metallic. Flat. Classic of the 1960s. Marcel Massini
Marcel, really, i had Seabird on the lips because of the darkness and because i thought about Seabird for myself after i fall in love after i saw a 365 GTC in that fantastic dark green color!
One side of my Pininfarina sign is coming unglued. I was worried but glad to hear that you can order new ones. That's a much easier solution then trying to fix the old ones. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
This is excellent information. Thank you. Now that I think about it... my whole front end is wrapped with expel paint protection film so the crookedness issue may be due to the badge being adhered back on to the plastic etc. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
To be fair same happened to mine when I had it sent to U.K. For PPF - they replaced with the original PF instead of a new one - sorted now. I didn't know you had it PPF'd
