Has anyone switched out the standard incandescent reverse bulbs with an LED bulbs? Any recommendations? Recently I changed out the headlights to the Truck-Lite LEDs and pleased with their performance. Now I would like to be able to see where I am backing up. I tried the search function but nothing specific came up regarding the reverse light.

Diode Dynamics has some good quality items, the 1156 versions fit the back up light. The most powerful ones are overkill, but no one will ever miss you backing up! I use them on all my cars, really helpful at night to have the rear lit up more fully.
