So... what is the best sounding exhaust for the 488???

I know there have been several threads on 488 Exhaust. I'm not sure I've heard the opinion of 488 owners as to what they bought and what they like best. I've made the decision to put an exhaust system on my 488, but would love to hear from owners that have done it and how happy they are with the results. Ideally, I'd like to maintain the ability to open and close the valves with the touch of a button.

 

Wait till you hear stock on the spider...I'm very surprised and pleased.
Sure it can be better, but wow.

 

Ask your F dealer and ask if it is permitted (warranty) to exchange it ... you may be surprised by his answers ...

 

A few of the socal dealers here will do it no issues.

 

I went through 3 different exhausts before finding my favorite one. Custom one off by Boden Autohaus, Straight Down Pipes with X Pipe. Brings back the higher pitch sound we all love and gosh damnnnn that turbo spool

I'm deciding either Kline or Novitec full Inconel Exhaust setup on 100 cell. Any of you have any opinions on either of the setup ?

 

I was thinking Novitec as well, just want real owners with installed exhaust to chime in.

 

I've heard both on video, they are quite smilier in terms of F1 pitch. Same material ! Kline is cheaper but overall tough decision !

 

Hoping owners who had it installed to pitch their opinions !!!

Patrick, your 488 sounds unreal, but you have it modded up to 900hp. Does anyone have an aftermarket exhaust on their 488 without many other mods? I'm assuming they beef up the exhaust note significantly.

 

The custom XPipe exhaust is what will give you the biggest diffence in sound and get it a little higher pitch we all love. Getting rid of the cats and going straight down pipes will give you more power and that sweet sound of the turbo spool. The tune is what adds the biggest power gain but certainly not needed with just exhaust.

 

Sounds really good but I'd avoid removing cats

Just fitted our 488 Spider with just the Novitec X-Pipe Rear Section and left the rest stock. Absolutely love the gargles and pops the car makes now. The tone is so much more V8 like when youre on the throttle but when you are part throttle you get a lot more turbo whistle as well as when it comes back to idle.
