Bottas dont drink what a wus!
It was interesting that RIC was almost clearly trying to not do a shoey and then made a point to say, "I didn't start this!" I wonder if he's been told to stop?
read elsewhere from replays it show bottas moved before the lights went out but once again FIA telemetry and replay shows otherwise
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TF0XVxBq2lk wheel and light bar next to each other 0.20 reaction time....He is rocking the car ever so slightly back and forth and then he gets it just right.
Watching the SKY coverage I also thought Vettel might have been too pushy with his insistence that Bottas jumped the gun but the YouTube video (if authentic) is much clearer than SKY's and Bottas clearly moved before the lights went out. Ted is now claiming Bottas is psychic. What a clown. More questionable quality and fairness from the stewards and FIA... as well as SKY quality of reporting. Really, WTF??? Can't they jog the video properly? Kudos to Vettel for his good eye and fortitude of conviction. I hope the Scuderia backs him up on this. It would be very interesting if and when the YouTube video is made to the attention of the race judges.
Really? I think he's great, good humour and knows loads. He knows how the stories are and tries to pry an answer (that he already knows but just wants comfirmed) out of anyone. Says it in a way of ''just admit it we already know''.
Agreed he can bring some good content however his attitude sometimes really gets under my skin. An example is when Toto shut him down about Lewis head rest coming loose. It was great and he deserved it.
Not from my vantage point. Ted was just padding on praises for Bottas. I actually like Bottas very much and think he's a great competitor and deserving driver but it seems he did jump the gun and I don't expect him to admit that. He was just trying his best. If you look at Bottas's Cheshire Cat smile when Vettel insisted he jumped the gun at the post-race interview and Bottas's muted expressions when interviewed by Brundle, you get the sense it wasn't really a clean win for him. All the same, I think everyone wishes Bottas well.
Valterri Bottas Jump Start analysis - 2017 Austrian GP https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SNgxRzzKuMM comparison between Vettel and Bottas. Vettels start was....see for yourself.
My impression of Ted is that while he is entertaining and offers interesting insights, he does overstep his place as commentator on various occasions, when he gives away personal bias and it's on those occasions his entertainment detracts and makes him look a clown.
Yes, Vettel was "a bit slow" off the start but Bottas was rolling forward before the lights went out. The other video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TF0XVxBq2lk shows Bottas's move much more clearly because the YouTube clip of the SKY video obscured the lights until they went out. Bottas was rocking his wheels and the forward motion on his last "rocking motion" continued forward as he accelerated when the lights went out. In my books, if you are moving forward before the start, you are jumping the gun. Having the wheels already in motion makes it much easier to apply torque to the contact patches... without or with less tire slip.
