The Oris is spot on with the Rolexes, Breitlings, and iphone, etc. I typically keep 5-6 watches out at a time and can see them side to sideso variations are noticeable. If you're considering one you might also look at this model. In fact a study of the Oris web site (which is a bit confusing due to overindulgent design) starts the mind racing on what Oris to get next. Image Unavailable, Please Login
So not very accurate huh? Not many know you can adjust the speed of your automatic watch by how you set it down. The old adage is; "face down = slow down, face up = speed up". It will change them as much as 2 seconds a day. Some of you know how many fine Swiss timepieces I own, but the truth is if you want accuracy, buy a quartz Casio.
As long as we're talking accuracy I learned last year that de-magnetizing can be a good thing. My Submariner was running a bit fast and after stumbling upon a youtube video from The Urban Gentry (one of my favorite down to earth watch channels) I did the compass test, found it was magnetized, bought a $10 demagnetizer on eBay, applied the remedy to the Sub, and sure enough it runs on time now. I also found several others to be magnetized and took care of them as well. The watch of the day here is my Hanhart Tachy-Tele, a true driving watch. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Okay. Despite now buying two Nato straps in one week, this cannot yet be called an addiction. ... can it? This new one is for my Indiglo Timex and it really smartens it up. Its easy to ignore the cheapie watch manufacturers, but there can be some real innovation there. Indiglo is really cool; the crown is also a push switch which lights the face in a uniform green. Its great for places like the opera where time seems to stop or even go backwards. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Ken, how do you like the watch? Do the pushers "click" like a mechanical watch? I love the dial. Off to Cars and Coffee with the Autavia. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Pretty Tag! Sadly, the pushers leave a lot to be desired lol, more of a "flat push" than click, however, it's $115 watch, and lacks that "heavy" feel I think we all love in more high end pieces. I do like it's wear though, comfy, and like you said, the dials great to look at.
I love it, it's a very bold piece and gets a lot of comments. The dial and hands are so easy to read, the double AR crystal is incredible, and the lume is out of this world bright. Very highly recommended and a pleasure to wear.
Got a great deal on a new Sub Date this weekend Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
