Like a lot of us on here...my childhood dream has come true and I'm a Ferrari owner! Thanks to Forum member Daniel Hurlbert and many others on here for making it seem so accessible. She was delivered Thursday night after a cross country trip and a long and thorough detail It of course started to rain just as she came off the truck and it didn't stop raining until this afternoon when I was FINALLY able to take her out on the maiden voyage. Talk about delayed gratification! But WOW. JUST WOW. I'm still in awe and a tad overwhelmed but you can't take the smile from my face while I'm driving her.

Now to a question if you've made it this far with me...it seems that my dash is way too dim at night and my window switches remain illuminated after everything is off. Also, my dome light won't shut off automatically in either mode. Battery is fully charged from my Battery Tender and everything is closed. Could be separate issues. Any thoughts?

Hilarious. It actually came Thursday night and I literally kept going down until after 1:30am to my garage to look. I'm still saying "there's a Ferrari in my garage!" accompanied with some kind of positive expletive and head shaking.

    Congrats on the first Ferrari!

To answer your question, your symptoms of the window switches remaining illuminated is a sign of a bad door microswitch(s) or door / window ecu

I love stories like this. It brings me back to my first one, 30 years ago.... and there has always been at least 1 hanging around since then!

Congrats and nice to see you avoided the 1st time Ferrari buyer of, "I've gotta have red/tan"!

Thank you. Any ideas of where to look to fix them? I'll start with Aldous and this forum, of course, but any other advice is welcome.

I do too but it's too low for where I live. Will have to raise it up a bit.

I struggled with that bc that's how I always thought but, get this...I wanted to get something more understated. Haha. What a fool! It's a Ferrari (and a spider)! There's nothing understated about it.

Wow. Thank you...that's going to be incredibly helpful. Very detailed...nice job. Do you know if the ecu controls the dash lights also? Could all of these (dome light auto shutoff not working, no backlights on dash and window switches staying illuminated) indicate one problem?

That I do not know. When I search this issue there were pages of results for bad microswitch and one thread on someone needing a new ecu, so I would take some time to trouble shoot all the sensors first. Plus you have a soft top, makes things less critical when your windows and top are always down :)

If you bought your car from a dealer, then they are responsible of fixing those issues...
