    No doubt about that.

Thar's because the F12 was a huge improvement, visually and mechanically, over the 599, which was not Ferrari's finest hour, at least in the looks department..

The 599 gave me the goosebumps at full throttle back in the day!

I think Ferrari has both the benefit and the burden of having such a strong brand with immense emotional connections. They come out with a new design, after we've spent the past years enjoying the current design, which either started out as perfection in our eyes or maybe grew on us. I don't know of any of their designs which I liked less over time. Maybe others' experiences are different.

After having seen it in person, thinking more on it, I think my only issue is overall the design comes off as a little bit heavy/ blocky. Individual elements work very well and the attention to detail is very nice. I think the rear end is much better in person.

I am still distracted by the off center stripe on the dash, but that can be done in the same color and thus, issue solved- and I wonder if they could do it in one piece of leather, which would really solve my issue. The interior is more exciting, which is both a pro and a con. On one hand, its better thought out, better passenger display, just overall better functionality. On the other hand, I think with all the highlighted areas, its kind of busy. This is probably addressed by not going with such contrasting colors.

And I still think the F12b is more elegant and gorgeous but, as I have mentioned, 812 is growing on me. My eyes are now seeing the flow to the design. How it all works together.

I think the designers did a brilliant job with what had to be a very tough objective: more sporty and aggressive on the F12 platform. It's not like they had free reign with where to place the hard points. Those were fixed.

After seeing it in person, I say mission accomplished! Its a fresh reimagining of the F12.

If you love the F12 style then there are many F12 on the market. And if you love the 812 then get in line.

It seems they've done it yet again. How do they walk such a high and narrow tightrope? Sorry for the effusive language- but I think they are simply the best.

Just to be clear, when I say 'not Ferrari's' finest hour', I'm only talking about looks.

Thanks for sharing pictures from the unveil event,

It's difficult to capture the special beauty of triple layer paint, especially indoors at night,

    Excellent photography!

You made the right choice. Those pictures definitely convinced me that the 812 is a beautiful car

The fact it looks amazing in AN makes me think white would also look amazing, anyone aware of a GT Silver platinum type silver in the range ? I find AN too plain but am tempted. Bargain also and no production delays.

Grigio Abu Dhabi is a great colour, more of a platinum colour. I saw it for the first time in a Lusso and it looked really good. I think it would work well on an 812.

It is argento but looks too washed out compared to Grigio Titanio - IMO

Great video. Thanks Malibu Guy for posting.
IMHO this is a great looking car (and this video shows that). Ferrari Design should be commended.

Agreed. I would be tempted to go with Bianco Italia (or whatever white is their pearl white option).

Never seen it on a Ferrari.
