Hard to comment without more details.

No vin/mileage (that I can see).

Vents coming out of dash (maybe leather shrinkage?)

Of course lateral engine bay covers gone, inlet hose disconnected from drivers air box and also the rear bumper gap on the same side is huge.

Mileage but no date on the major service.

Overall looks like it needs a bit of sorting.

    Agreed...

    Also:

    - Broken ashtray
    - Looks like it may have the 360 F1 pump conversion
    - Really filthy engine bay

But, all in all, it does not seem like a horrible car for the price.

I might as well give my car away if the prices keep heading south.

Sorry I've gotta say that being an F1 Spider also hurt it, and the yellow didn't help.

$49k in that condition plus 10% = $53,9k for that POS. I think that is actually a good sign for the market. I was thinking (emphasis on "thinking") of put my car up at $74,9k. That sale would suggest I'm on the money.

I bet we will look back on these and say should have when...also, I'm a coupe guy as well, I think most serious drivers are, but one day, the market will flip.

That is a hack job on the F1 wire harness. Probably happened at the engine out.

Mine came back form the engine out service in a similar routing. I took it all apart and re-routed it properly. Not really sure why the mechanics in this world struggle with that. Take a "before" pic and put it back that way "after" :)

The car in question does seem pretty tired. It is making me think that there are very few fully sorted 355's out there. And I suspect most of those owners hang out here ;)

I'm in the camp of this being a fairly bought and sold car. It's an F1, Spyder with unknown (to us anyway) history, some obvious sorting required (who knows what's lurking unseen), and anything but red gets taxed. I would gladly pay +$25-30k for mine...

Just plain lazy not to put things back as they were when doing a service. Especially with a phone camera right in your pocket.

Fchat will make you a better mechanic!!

I think it was the faceless, cost-cutting conglomerate that was Fiat for a couple of decades before him? Enzo certainly wasn't in charge of the road cars since the late 1960s..

I was at Mecum Denver and took a quick look at this 355. Didn't spend too much time looking this one over. It was nothing special that's for sure and I'm not in the market. mecum also had a 2000 456GTA go for $50k which I thought was too much for a fairly rough 456. And a very beat up 91 Testarossa - didn't catch price

I did however sell my Jaguar there for the give away price of $8750. Great place to free up garage space if you need too and don't want top dollar at all. 13 cars = too many

The markets very flat at the moment, but the 355 represents tremendous value for what it is......longer term

No kidding about the "give away price". But that's how you unload it. Time is money...
