    apart from Ctek , has anyone had good results and would recommend a so called intelligent battery charger.....

    Ive used a Lidl one on my tractor, works as good as the Ctek!

    +1, I own 5 or 6 "smart chargers" and they all work similarly. Regardless of the marketing claims of having a desulfation phase, or multiple charging phases, as long as it is microprocessor controlled to prevent over charging they all essentially do the same thing. Whether you spend $20 or $150. If you have an AGM or LiOn battery those can require special charging modes, so in those cases you need to take that into consideration. But for a flooded wet cell battery, any will work fine

    Look up Save-A-Battery on Amazon. I swear by them. Only unit I feel 100% comfortable in leaving hooked up 24/7. I use the Model 9999 for 12 volt cars. We have dozens of them.

    bought a Maypole MP7428 , cost £32...very pleased so far, appears well made....and easy to use and understand
