To shamrock and CAM@CNCMOTORS - thanks guys for the compliments.
It's fascinating to learn more about the miniature engines that power our timepieces and sound is one of those tangible characteristics we can explore. More to come.

Thats a really elegant piece! Didn't even know they made that model. Has it been discontinued?
I can sometimes be almost as fascinated by really cheap ones as with more high-end stuff. Find that great about collecting watches.
Wearing this 48 year old today which represents the lower end quite well in my opinion

That's cool dial. I actually think they made more interesting looking watches in decades past. Nice mesh bracelet as well.

That watch is a beauty! I just love vintage watches and new watches that are vintage-inspired. That's what drew me to the "reissued" Seastar (in addition to the beautiful blue dial). It has been discontinued, unfortunately.

Need to make a little room in the collection so I'm thinking about selling mine. So if you might be interested in having a sister to your vintage Seastar, shoot me a PM!

@Shamrock that vintage Seastar is spectacular! I've been looking at them a lot lately but just haven't been able to pull the trigger. How do they wear? I'm a little concerned about the large size.

Thanks Carmine, I like it a lot in it's simplicity. The insert has faded into green and makes a nice contrast to the dial's red and black.
Your modern Seastar is actually very tempting, but I really need to get a hold of myself. I am supposed to never be in possession of more than ten watches, including the one on my wrist, and its a constant struggle. This rule of 10 is something I recently decided for myself, as hoarding watches makes no sense in my life. The collection has been scaled down from 25+.
Right now I'm standing at nine, having the open position reserved for that extra special graal that never seems to cross my way. It's no walk in the park being a small time collector 😎

Wait no longer. It's really not large in my opinion. Case is 40 mm not including the crown. I have a smaller vintage chronograph as well, but this is a more common size I think. A comparison with the Autavia 1063V here:

Wow!! I finally had a moment to listen to this in a quiet room. The last one is downright musical!!!! Please do more of these!

I'd also be interested to hear what they sound like at 1x speed, 2x speed, 4x speed, 16x speed, etc.

The sound recordings are at normal speed. I only speeded up the videos to add drama.

Any Rolex I have ever placed on a bedside table has developed a harmonic and gotten amplified due to structure born vibration...then I've just had to leave it on a soft surface in another room.

More videos to come soon. Thanks for the appreciation.

Back to the Autavia today for a new video with the 308.
