I rented it here: Special Cars | Vermietung von Ferrari, Lamborghini u.v.m. Unfortunately the owner sold this 458 Speciale, when someone offered him $60k over what he paid for it. So unfortunately it is no longer possible to rent a Speciale from him.
Cool thanks! (Cool on both counts, now I know where to rent one and they're going up in price [emoji1303][emoji1303])
There's a gorgeous Speciale for sale at Motorcars Washington. If I didn't have a Stage 90 488 GTB, I'd be tempted. https://www.motorcarswashington.com/2014-ferrari-458-speciale Image Unavailable, Please Login
Image Unavailable, Please Login I love how different TDF blue can look in different light! The brightest I've seen her ☀️
All these threads about 488s and 720s are so lame. This is where it's at. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Not sure which blue this is. But it looks great! Image Unavailable, Please Login Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
That's kind of true, but having put a few thousand miles on my 488 Spider, (which sits every night next to my perfectly spec'd - for me - Speciale), I am really enjoying the 488. They are different cars to be sure but the 488 makes an absolutely outstanding roadcar (whispering now) maybe even better than the Speciale.... It will go in time and the Speciale will stay, but that's not to underestimate the achievement Ferrari have made with the 488. It's soooooo good!
This babe showed up to West Omaha Euros & Exotics last weekend. S/N 213004. Giallo Triplo Strato with Blu Scuro Alcantara interior. Blue carbon everywhere. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
As I understand it, it's the NART livery that wraps around the rear/wing area of the car, available on the Speciale and Aperta. I'm sure someone will correct me if that's inaccurate. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Thanks - it must be the car I considered a while back - can't be too many triple yellow cars with blue carbon and the non-standard Speciale NART stripe. It is a great looking car, but I thought it was trying too hard to be an Aperta. I believe it even has the Aperta seat pattern, correct? Assuming it is the car from Miller Motorcars, they told me the original owner had the exact same Aperta. I would never own both, but if I did, I'd want them to be completely different looking.
Yep, it's the car from Miller, only had something like 523 miles on it. The current owner traded in a black F430 towards it, which was for sale at Miller. Not sure if it still is. Stands out because it had the stock 10 spoke wheels, but chrome. Red calipers.
Out of curiosity, how would a coupe be trying to be an aperta, assuming nobody has tried to cut the roof off? Seems like a passive aggressive comment.
As a fellow Speciale owner, I'm sure you know that the Aperta's NART is more detailed with the extra blue pinstripe and the blue that extends across rear spoiler similar to this yellow car above. You also know the standard Aperta seats are different from the standard Speciale seats, and the yellow car has Aperta seats. Absolutely nothing wrong with checking these options - it's just not my style. I wanted to stick with the options Maranello intended for my model.
I completely get what you're saying from your perspective, and, it's yours. To make that assumption about someone else's taste or view to match your own is naive. The car you were commenting on wasn't yours, which just exudes a 'holier than thou' impression and reinforces the stereotype we all get filtered through. Just something to possibly look at. To honor the intention of the thread, that's all I'll say and here is another of mine: Image Unavailable, Please Login
Sorry for having an opinion. Classy of you to call me naïve and holier than thou because I noted I didn't buy a great looking car because it wasn't my style. PS - I just looked up your profile to get a little better idea of who you are and just 4 days ago you said painted shields "looks terrible". So I guess it's fine for you to say an aspect of someone's car is terrible, but I can't even say a car is not my style?? Also note that it wasn't even the owner of the yellow car who posted the pics. One thing we can agree on . . . let's get back to Speciale pics.
