    Thought that was why they put radar in those things. That cell must have been positively glowing on the radar screen. At least for a while.

    Wow, totally hailblasted. Looks like the hail perforated the nose cone in multiple places. They're lucky they didn't lose their engines.

    In the Delta incident the pilot tried to shoot a gap between 2 cells that was closing up. A SWA flight went through the gap prior to the Delta flight and the pilot reported to ATC that nobody should follow them through the gap. ATC did not advise the Delta flight to divert around the cell.
