I think my post has been misread in this case. My intention was for the first line to be read seriously (ie I was agreeing with Ian re the stupidity of the 'rape culture' claim); the second part, deliberately spaced, was a dig at Ian due to his past rants against Muslims as 'all terrorists'. Irony...

Julian Burnside is the personification of everything that's rotten about the "progressive" left today.

It's a curious thing: my experience of the legal profession that they are comfortable with charging huge fees and accumulating wealth, yet very much to the left on social issues.

Of course it helps that the taxpayer funds much of their pursuit of vexatious claims against our society. Human Rights lawyers like Burnside being the worst offenders.
