They were shooting for 2500-3500 4C's a year. How many have they built so far?

I bought my coupe new about 4 months ago and supply was already tight if you wanted a particular color etc Will be interesting to see where the prices go from here. Kudos again to Alfa for having the courage to build the car. It's a fun and somewhat unique toy that punches above its weight.

Not that many. I'll look for the link on the 4C forums for the production numbers to date.

I don't follow these too closely, but it looks to be a few K over MMR or wholesale pricing.

That pretty low considering what they were planning but still not something I would invest in yet. It will take 10 years or more for these to go up in value based on other previous great Italian car price histories. They will continue to drop in value as to many were made. Enjoy them for the cars they are, not for their value. I have seen new Spiders discounted. And I have seen several good 4C's in the mid 40's already.

I did pretty well price wise on my 2016 (which was bought when dealers already had 2017's), and mine had all the options I wanted, though I did not know they had audio controls on the steering wheel on any car (that one says it does). I did not buy it for an investment I bought it to mod it and drive it, just like any of my cars. I'm too old to think about what something will be worth after 20 years.

Buy the car to enjoy, not an investment. Cars are to enjoy and a hobby, not an investment. That is how I see it.

The car makes such a racket that, to me, the audio system is pretty superfluous. Did any of the 4Cs come with steering wheel controls for the "entertainment system"?

    Nope.

Actually I listen to the radio on the car. But using the phone is pretty difficult.

I have an LE with the awful Parrot. The interface is just terrible.

I do like the soothing voice of the parrot voice commands. But otherwise it is useless.

The 4C Coupé has been registered with the NHTSA for the 2018 Model Year, and the official USA web site has the 2018 4C Coupé Owners Manual available for download.

As far as I know, the 4C Coupe can't be continued due to new regulations which require air bags in the A pillar. Either Alfa Romeo got an exempt status or they're introducing air bags in the A pillars.

    Try ordering one.

You can't if the car is being built after October.

The Alfa website is about as reliable as most US news agencies. :)

Dealers are being told don't expect any more coupes. They aren't going to make it official as they will be forced to mark them down even further.

Too many were made? The car is going away because not ENOUGH were made (and sold). Anyone thinking their 4C is going to appreciate better be 30 years old or they won't live to see it.

There are no units after 2018. The absolutely do not comply with new regulations.

Autotrader has 32 for sale as of today's date. Most (all?) are by dealers, but perhaps AT mostly represents the dealer channel rather the overall market. One (a 2017) has the Akrapovic exhaust ($3k option) and CF roof ($2.5k option). Others a mix of coupes and spiders, '16s and '17s and one '15 with 200 miles priced at $56,500. I have not tracked the market to know how this data compares with 3, 6 or 9 months ago but it may be interesting to see how the data changes as we go forward.

It's too bad they are discontinuing them as they are a very fun car to drive.

I am having a custom steering wheel made for mine now (and one for the Evora 400 too), but as far as I know none were made with controls on the wheel, though if that is important I am sure you could replace the aftermarket unit with another aftermarket unit that has the option of a steering mounted controller. Mine came with the Alpine unit and it actually does not sound bad but I just turn my hearing aids up so I can hear it.
