OME 355 Radio

I'm looking to purchase an original 355 radio that is correct for a 1998 GTS. Does anyone know what versions were offered for that year and model?

Any help much appreciated.

 

It'll be Becker or Sony so the quickest might be to search on them since its unlikely this has not been asked before

This is the correct unit for a 1998.

The only difference between them is the artist and song title read out in the 21. Otherwise they are identical. To look at them, you can't tell them apart except for the number.

 

Or the XR20, either is OK although I'd prefer the 21 if available.

 

Speaking of radios in 355s, what is correct, based on year in North America?

1995 (wasn't it just a "radio prep", with wiring and speakers only?)
1996 ?
1997 ?
1998 Sony
1999 Sony

I don't think there was a factory radio for 95-97 355s? I have a "period correct" alpine in my car which NEVER gets turned on. Driving a vintage flat crank V8 Ferrari with the radio on is like driving a convertible with the top up on a beautiful 70 degree sunny Saturday.

 

Well....sort of. Its a long story. I'm assured by a former Fchater (who's supposed to be very reliable) its mine but its taking a very long time. Meanwhile, I've decided to continue to look as a back up.

 

While we are at it, does anyone know a good place to have one of these repaired? Mine doesn't power up at all. And before you ask, yes, I have bench tested it.

 

I got mine on eBay. I'll watch that search again.
