Great review - Harry's the man.

Have been looking for a manual 575M for a while, but listening to his comments around the 24 min mark, comparing it to the 550 w/ handling pack, made me sit back and wonder why bother paying a premium for a 575 manual, other than rarity.

I really like the 575's more modern dashboard. Not worth the massive premium over a 550 IMO

When both were relatively modern cars it was worth going for the 575, but with F1 gearbox...
Now that both are outdated technically and performance-wise, the 550 is the right choice - for a classic car, a manual gearbox is better and a 575 with one will command a ridiculous price (which may not be sustainable in the long term).
And the 550 is still a fantastic car.

I think you are spot on. I read a magazine article posted here by someone comparing a 550 to a 575 manual w/handling pack, and said the 575 was a better driver, but it felt like it was all quite marginal. Then I guess the big premium is only for the rarity which is impossible to justify at the current levels.

Certainly a lot more good quality 550s out there to choose from.
