The colour really accentuates the flowing curves in the design. I would definitely consider it for mine. Not the black wheels though - they just disappear.

I don't know where the obsession with black wheels comes from. Was traditionally used in Europe for winter tyres as they get so grubby.

Black wheels highlight the body color

I think dark wheels are better in person for the most part.

I think it's a UK issue as black holes just tend to gangsta the car and most U.K. owners are more restrained.

Titanio - no ice blue in GS or Ferro and AN is almost "white".

Beware GT can look nice in artificial light but needs contrast eg black roof or wheels or is really bland.

Thanks for putting a word on the thing that makes me dislike GT : "Ice blue" hint.

    Amen.

This car there no question is GT with the contrast turned up a bit-lovely but I'm still leaning to my GS comfort zone.......

I really like GT on the 812. I think the slight blue tint plays to the car's strengths. I can tell you not everyone in the USA loves black wheels. To file under everyone sees things differently: I think they actually make the design look nonsensical because I am looking to see- where did the wheels go!

I suspect Argento N will look great on the 812 as well.

I fancied Argento as a cheap way to accentuate the lines and highlight the carbon. See the WSJ thread today, it just looks plain to me.

As long as the factory don't make dramas re delays am committed to three layer Ferro or Grigio Coburn, pricy but very special.

GS a budget fall back. CDF middle option.

I went to the customer preview of the 812 at Maranello and spent quite a bit of time chatting to one of the guys responsible for the exterior design.

I pressed him on what he thought would work best, his answer was Argento N and Grigio T.

I am very tempted to go with Grigio T for mine but the wheels will not be black! Although the calipers will be.

I don't want to sound like a smartass but all cars look good in medium to light metallic greys, as are the colours that most highlight design features, creases, lines... Half the automotive industry introduce their cars in such colours. Of course many other colours work also, but IMV recommending AN or GT is somehow playing safe :)

Olivier you know I've been a critic of the 812 rear and on this particular I won't change my mind. However I don't dislike the car and see in the profile picture of the 812 you just published beauty, harmony and the best combination until now. The potential future buyers can get valuable inspiration from that picture so you have to start charging a fee LOL
