Looks like he took a bit too much kerb on the right + power, and just lost it.Hope he can get out in FP2. DiResta must be licking his lips even at the very slight chance of another race! Any body mention Vertigo??
Wow, you can have a spare chassis, but it can't be ready to go. You have to build a new car from scratch. Damn.
Makes it a bit harder for Stroll to get the best out of the car too.He seems to be gradually dialling it in.i did expect it to be top 10 easily. Renault looking not too bad even Palmer just in top 10 so far with Nico 6th.
Yep, they are still on slicks for the time being. Order at the minute is 1. Hamilton, 2. Räikkönen, 3. Bottas, 4. Verstappen, 5. Vettel, 6. Ricciardo Rgds
It might actuyally be a wise move indeed, considering that the weather seems really incertain for the week-end, so at least they will already have had some feel of the car in these conditions... Rgds
Absolutely, why not as long as you manage to stay on track. Let's see tomorrow, can imagine times in the low 1:43's. Anyhow its 32 years since Niki Lauda had his very last GP win in 1985 ,at Spa, then retired for good at the end of the year.No doubt he will be looking for a good reason to celebrate this weekend. Love him or whatever he is a living legend.
Fairly predicatable top few, but where did verstappen get his time from? That's looking better than expected from the RB wonderkid.
i think i heard the pit radio saying he had beaten the Mercs by 4/10ths not sure if it was over a full lap or just 1 sector (unlikely!) ..they told him he was going too fast he replied 'oops' .... sandbagging? hope so! i don't have the sector times, but Max was running a higher downforce set up than Ricci, so he was probably very fast in the 2nd sector ..but slower in 1 and 2.
