What a great fight! I was very happy with the result and it was the result I expected also.

I thought FM would stop him via TKO in the 6th-8th rounds. It went to the 10th, but I had the right train of thought.

Connor did a lot better than most expected, but I had a feeling he would gas out around the 4th round and I reckon he did.

It was then up to Mayweather to slowly but surely take him apart and he did it easily.

What an amazing career he has had and that WBC belt he picked up is truely stunning! I would love to have that hanging up at home. lol

Imagine taking a walk through his home and seeing all his belts, medals etc on display, would be a sight to see.

Congrats Floyd and thanks for all the memories. :D

(And the $75 I made today from your TKO win. :p)

Refused to watch this farce live. Watched a few rounds this morning, what a boring fight. Completely predictable publicity stunt i.e. Served no purpose whatsoever other than padding everyone's bank account.

Bring on the real fight of this year GGG v Canelo

I saw it on Friday, but don't remember where. It was on TV, boxing commentators were discussing it.

When the final numbers come in, they're going to be huge.

I agree. What this has articulated is the public's inability to realize they are being and have been played. There was no way FM was going to come back and fight anyone who might beat him, but he would come back to bruise up a non Boxer for an insane paycheck. I cannot believe so many paid to watch. FM essentially just told his 'fans' they really are that dumb.

IF the fight was boring, it would only be because McGregor gassed out like a chump and made it boring. He was talkin all that smack about how Mayweather was out of shape yada yada yada. Mayweather took it to him once he downloaded Mcgregor and devised his game plan --- like a professional would. Mayweather was far from boring. It was another masterpiece added to his legacy.

Mayweather fans already knew this would be a text book display of Mayweather's 35 years of Sweet Science. We only tuned in to watch to see hopeful Mcgregor fans crushed. I personally paid $20 at a bar too watch. Great fun night for everyone imo. Cant remember the last time I got this much fun for $20. What wasnt fun was the $1000 I lost because i put too much faith in a 28 year old hyped UFC fighter to last 12 rounds.

You put all 1000 on that he would last 12? Most of the action was McG falling in 6-9th rounds.

Hindsight is 20/20. I wanted the big payout. I was later told I could've parlayed Mayweather on the money line + over for +190. That probably would have been the smarter bet, but I was unaware. I just thought he would be able to condition himself properly by now. He's gassed out on many occasions in the UFC. He was pretty composed the first 4 rounds. When Mayweather took it to him, Mcgregor was already gassed by 6th rd. I couldnt believe it considering not much punches were thrown the first 4 rounds.

This fight happened because millions of people believed in him. If I was a Mcgregor fan, I cant but help think Mcgregor didnt take his conditioning seriously enough.

Conner did much better then expected but in the end the result was what we knew was going to happen. Question is now is there interest in the public for a rematch? No doubt both fighters would jump at the chance to get another pay day like they just got.

MCGregor did do much better than expected, but still far behind in skill level. Any words coming out of his mouth to promote another fight would make him look like the biggest clown if he isn't already. Mayweather had him runnin! Now that... i was not expecting.

he wouldn't fight a rematch even for 300m imo
he's got so much money now and putting lots into his business as a way of continuing to earn cash.

all the training he's done to stay in shape consistantly whilst he was retired shows that he was anticipating one more fight but now I believe he's finished and he can finally have a beer :)

the fight was good for boxing but imo bad for ufc, I knew it'd be a walkover but I didn't expect Mcgreggor to have such pathetic stimania and weak punching power.

    Where are you seeing that?

    That's what I say also!

Most people clearly disagree, great tactical fight, brilliantly executed, stoppage as predicted by FM, awesome.

As stated early in this thread, some of us have never wanted to be played so bad :D

I agree, although I do give CM a lot of credit, and, you could see the tide turning, as CM began gassing out, FM came on.

    We had one!

He actually laid out his strategy pre-fight, but nobody took it seriously.

I think the fight highlights how much stamina boxers have and how hard they hit to stun even with padded gloves!

    Big respect for boxing.

Mayweather went to his strip club about 2:30 last night driving is topless Veyron. He caused so much commotion around the club the cops had to be called to break it up.

You do know that Mayweather is the best boxer currently fighting and arguably the best ever? The fact it took ten rounds to stop Conner and not even a real ko in his first ever boxing match says he's a far better boxer then almost anyone would have guessed. If there's public interest in six months to a year in a rematch it will probably happen.
