Be prepared to pay through the nose, but here's the finest rendition of what you're looking for...

1977 FERRARI 308 GTB YELLOW by KYOSHO VERY RARE 1st Edition NEW IN BOX | eBay

And here's the QV if you don't want the carb/2v look...
    http://www.ebay.com/itm/FERRARI-308-GTB-QUATTROVALVE-YELLOW-by-KYOSHO-VERY-RARE-1st-Edition-NEW-IN-BOX-/182621607938?hash=item2a85189802:g:XNsAAOSwDN1UQy9g

You used to see tons of hits on these for $100 each. Now, lucky to catch one for sale per year. I'd pull the trigger if it's in the budget.

Why doesn't Kyosho or Hot Wheels just reissue these? They would fly off the shelves. As stated, the QV GTSs come up every so often, but they are a small fortune.

I believe it was - at least for some time - a licensing thing under LdM. He sold Hot Wheels the exclusive die cast rights, at least for 1:18 scale, just as model makers were seeing the collector demand for more-finely-detailed premium models, and a lot of them had to stop production. I seem to recall reading somewhere that the exclusive agreement has since expired, but alas...

Because Maitso (Bburago) now has the exclusive worldwide contract after outbidding Mattel in 2014 so Hot Wheels are no longer allowed to sell any 1/18 Ferrari.

Kyosho also no longer has a license... furthermore, they don't have any Ferrari molds any more after having sold them to Maitso in order for them to take over from Mattel in 2015.

    Regards

You also may wish to try user 19633500GT here. He seems to be liquidating an entire memorabilia shop, complete with tons of models, at the moment. Although I'd still recommend one of those Kyosho options on eBay, as they're pretty freaking scarce.
