1000+ posts for the Stroller thread, who'd have thunk it?
Never mind...I've got it. Senility's not creeping in... http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-O14lOQSgfdw/T_mhbMa8K_I/AAAAAAAAAHw/kVbsieBYWT8/s640/tortoise_hare.jpg It's just "Thrust"-ing itself in... http://www.roadsters.com/ssc_770x390.jpg http://www.roadsters.com/ssc_500x446.jpg ThrustSSC - The fastest car in the world
So I guess Stroll no longer believes playing games on his Playstation is good enough to practice "racing" anymore? Stroll took part in private test before Spa | PlanetF1 : PlanetF1
This was the major point JV had with this entire situation. He is not qualified to be in F1 if he must continue to test LOL. Massa showed him what qualified means at Spa with a crap Williams. Williams as well as going backwards it seems with development have this soap opera with a billionaire's influence in the team. Joke.
A great performance today from Stroll, 4th (and will start second), beating Bottas, both Ferraris, and a massive 1.2 seconds ahead of his teammate. That's not normally so notable an achievement, since Massa has always sucked in wet conditions, but given that Stroll has struggled to match Massa in qualifying for most of the season, to slaughter him in tricky conditions where skill comes to the front is very significant!
Yep, youngest driver ever to start on the front row...yeh i know about the penalties for RBR etc,but even so , he delivered today in pretty bad conditions. I now want to hear from JV,even a small crumb of praise would be good.
Daddy has already spent $80 million, so don't think he won't get excited and do just that now that he's tasting glory vicariously through little junior.
I am as well. I do think that he will gradually slip back if there are no incidents but he should score some decent points.
I'm very eager to watch Lance tomorrow as I have said all season that I have not seen him attack or defend. He will be defending like crazy tomorrow so I'm eager to see what he's got. Good for you Lance
Gradually? I'll wager very quickly. Nothing ag'in him; 'just think he got lucky...not improved overnight... We shall certainly see tomorrow.
He did improve if you compare his driving to his first few races. Of course it helps when your team mate is crap in the rain. But still, he is on front row.
Well aware of that. 'Been a supporter of Stroll's effort since the get go. I'm not looking thru rose glasses tho'. Again, overnight improvement doesn't happen. Luck does.
Not throwing the car away in wet conditions is beyond luck. I definitely have to put my foot in mouth for not giving this kid much kudos in the past. He is no Verstappen but he showed today that he deserves to be in F1.
