So it would seem that red/tan 3 pedal australian delivered berlinetta's are the unicorn. Anybody know how many there are in aus in this spec??
Presumably when you say "unicorn" you mean most highly valued because they're certainly not the rarest. In fact they're probably the most common variant (along with red/tan manual Spiders).
And therefore tightly held. As far as I know, only three red oz delivered 355 manual coupes sold here in the last four years (and not all with tan inside)

My friend had one in white with the same trim as this one. Looked washed out in bright sunlight, but at dusk it looked fantastic.
yep, we have a white/tan one in the NSW club and it looks flat in sunlight. I suspect the period paint materials didn't help either. Easy to see why so many were made resale red.
I went looking through my Mac for a photo of the white 308 and came across this. Doubt if it will happen again in Australia... Image Unavailable, Please Login
Yep I remember that day. We had the LM at the Surfers Rally as well, where you could get up close and personal, hop in and have a seat and a look around. Like you said Ian, very low chance that ever again here.
I have a photo of the white 308 from 1985 Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
that's the photo I was looking for, now realise it wasn't the white glass GTB. However... that GTS was the car I used for my wedding, when Gerry D owned it. What a small world! Unfortunately, the next owner painted it black Image Unavailable, Please Login
Incidentally, how well did he capture the sound of the carbies sucking air?? it was like sitting in my car listening to the symphony.
