Damn, these conditions would have made Senna, Piquet, Mansell and Schumacher lick their fingers!
F1 drivers of today have become overpaid clowns who have NO say at all in the ridiculous circus that F1 is nowadays.

Thank the parents of Jules Bianchi for this: their lawsuit changed the sport, not the current drivers

When they kicked out Ecclestone, they should have done the same with Whiting.
    Start all over.

i guess this is why we will not have a driverless safety car in the near future .....unless it can report on surface conditions etc etc

The bottom line is this: F1 cars are designed to race in dry conditions, never in all weather.

They have aero that lift the water off the ground and throw it up in the air to create massive spray leaving no visibility. You can blame open wheels as well, that are also far too wide to avoid aquaplaning.

The FIA and car designers never take these considerations into account when they decide new rules.

So, racing in the rain will always be a gamble. It's often too dangerous to start a race, but the public prefers to ignore that because it has paid to watch a race, whatever the risks.
