Yep seems that way. Fully expected a mess up of him today but kept it together and beat his teammate. Kudos.

I'm very much in the same boat currently.

Still don't think he's amazing, but at least can stick with the current grid and hell, even beat his teammate for a 2nd time.

Yes Stroll is soooooo good he finished nearly last at Spa and spun and finished 17th yesterday at Monza.

    How quickly we forget.

  6. Again, I've been for him since all the naysaying started. I still refer to the rose coloured glasses. Consistent luck (skill) will change my view, not emotion. ;) :)

    Very true.

I guess that Williams decided to use two different setups today and Massa got the riskier one.

I bet tomorrow Massa will easily beat Stroll during the race.

+1. He has a long way to go. Would you hire him? Sorry but he still wont get passed the ticket gate without his family money. He continues to test and test. Ready for F1?

I fully predict Stroll to be overtaken A LOT tomorrow during the first few laps. I also predict he will crash into someone tomorrow with the first few laps trying to defend his position.

.......I'm telling you, I have BARELY seen stroll defend or attack. Overtaken a car that is having mechanical/electrical issues is not overtaking. Its fish in a barrel.

I am not a Stroll hater, he is my fellow country man. I just think he truly is just another Palmer, Ericsson and Kyvatt. Teams are licking their lips at getting Ocon, Verstappen, Riccardo, Sainz and even Perez........trust me, no team will ever look that way at Stroll. He will not go any higher then Williams.

Let's see how they finish. If he wins tomorrow in a Williams it is still not winning in a Toro Rosso. My bet is he does not finish in the points and Vettel does, but we will have to wait and see.

Congrats Lance. Beats his team mate

Congrats to Lance but Id hire Ocon before ever considering the lack of aggression on brakes and no race-craft Stroll. As Brundle said he needs more experience. He is hardly F1 ready. He drives in circles more so than he races LOL. Williams are a joke and playground for the billionaire and his kid.

I thought the boy did well today and he is getting better every race .... Ocon is better but he only looks good when perez is not around him :)

LOL about Perez and Ocon!! He did well but he does not come across a racer like Ricci at all.

  17. As it turns out, no he didn't. 'Just out qualified them in the rain. :)

I remember when the lunatics here were pumping for Perez to go to Ferrari

Dan reminds me of a quicker Button, clean racers who you know aren't going to slam into you.

If Max can just calm down a bit and become more calculated like Dan he will be a WDC of the future

    +1 on all fronts.

Especially like the Button comparison. Both very charismatic/fun and out and out racers, Danni just a better one (quite a bit better IMO). With both of them you get the immediate idea that they'll be thoroughly nice guys in real life also.

Lance was rightly conservative at the start,he could have easily clashed with Ocon but kept his head, and picked up some points for for the team, holding off Massa at the end.

With the engine upgrade coming there is more to come.

Lance did a great job today.........hopefully he can be more consistent but I agree with everything that Martin Brundel said about him.

This weekend completely changed my opinion about the Canadian, I must confess.

I have to admit the kid is growing on me. Certainly no love lost by me for his team mate. And now that he outqualified and outraced him, I have to say well done. And its fun to watch another battle within the midfield. Hopefully he can build upon his gained experience and grow steadily.
