Seems Toto is like the crowd here, full of it !! IF they turned it down by 20% Ferrari would have trounced them, what a load of BS by the lying **** (I do believe they turned it down once they were well in the lead but not by 20%)
Who cares. He's gone and no one is ever going to remember Nico. He's a nobody in this gun fight. Remember - he quit because he couldn't face another year like 2016. If you want a better comparison, try comparing Ham to Vet or Alonso. They are the only active WDCs who have the track records worthy of comparison.
We are talking about Hamilton here, he's lucky but not too bright I can remember the Italians (who loved Senna) cheering like mad when his McLaren engine blew up coming into the Parabolica in '89, they are a little biased
Here are Qualifications from 2007 to 2017(up to Hungary) Hamilton in blue and his team-mates in orange. Left side is # of out Qualifications. Bottom are the years. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Ahhh, but Elton's fans will no doubt have a really excellent excuse for this. I mean, he probably PLANNED to lose those races just to keep f1 interesting, as he is such a magnanimous champ and is the epitome of sportsmanship. The radio messages to the team during those trouncings were all staged, you know, the ones where he begged the team to slow Nico down, or blamed everyone but himself for his lacklustre performance, or claimed he was cheated etcetc. Why do people like me dislike him so much? he is such a likeable fellow with a great sense of humour and a healthy respect for the history of F1 and his fellow competitors. That's why he's always alone on driver parades and sits alone, or doesn't bother turning up, for events requiring the attendance of all drivers - they all love him and respect him so much. What a deity, he is one step from a god in Brit press eyes, surely we should blindly accept their version of things.
Don't let that measly fact ruin the arguments lol....having said that, congratulations to Hamilton for breaking the record - as Alonso once said, drivers should take whatever is bestowed upon them as the parameters keep changing all the time ie wins in a season (seasons are longer now), number of points (from 10 to 25) etc... Best, Sammy
You know things are getting bad when people just start making up random stuff and others believe it. Where have I seen this before???
ROOKIE Hamilton beat his 2X WDC teammate and would have won the WDC himself as a rookie except for Mclarengate. Seriously ... exactly what does it take to impress you guys ? I think its time to wake up and stop hitting the snooze button.
We can go on and on with this discussion about stats...but as you guys are referring to Rosberg: I am curious who of those constantly praising Lewis´ stats as the measurement for greatness think that Rosberg is among the best 12 drivers of all time? Because after the stats for wins he is but for some reasons you manage to talk him down while using stats as the only undeniable facts when it suits you...and Rosberg did not even get his wins against a useless No.2 driver but against the GOAT according to you. You can´t have it both ways...well you can, but then you loose the rest of credibility that is left
he was quick, never denied that. There's a lot that went on behind the Mclaren scenes that you'll never know, and won't believe anyways.
This guy is toil right ?? How come there is no vetting of these fly-in/fly-outs that do nothing but stir the pot ? I'm sick to death of hearing about Hamilton, he's an arse who lucked into the better cars on the grid and now has an inflated view of his own importance
You'll get yourself banned arguing with toil Bas, not worth it, just put him on ignore and wait for his ban
Hey, BTW Bas, F2 was WAY better than the main event, Ghiotto was brilliant as was a few others, Markelov , Declerc, Masa****a, etc ... great to watch A bit rough and tumble
The race I had the other day with a c63 through the lanes in my Bentley was more exciting than this afternoon's snore fest, and that lasted just six minutes or so
If Mr. Sweater is upset he needs to look in the mirror. Merc is just toying with them now, sandbagging as they move along. http://www.skysports.com/f1/news/12472/11018882/italian-gp-mercedes-believe-ferrari-have-fallen-backwards "It looks like Ferrari have made a step back somehow," Toto Wolff says after Monza one-two. "We thought they would be closer."
