My friend Cliff took this picture of my 1998 TdF 550 at our local Cars & Coffee gathering.

When I showed my wife the picture, she said "Oh, I love that car".
That response was a little unexpected, but she does drive the 550 and I think she likes it more than our black 458.

Good question. She hasn't been a fan of some of the Ferraris I've owned over the years.

My first Ferrari was a 1988 328 GTS and she didn't fit in the car to be able to drive it.
She's 5'4" with short legs and she had to have the seat so far forward to reach the pedals that her forehead was touching the windshield glass.
She was disappointed because she couldn't fit in it well enough to drive it.

She also doesn't drive the paddle-shifting cars. So, she rides in my 458 but isn't interested in driving it.
Same thing back when I owned my 430.

She does drive the 550 though. Sometimes we'll take both the 458 and 550 to local events.
She's very good driving a stick-shift, when she was young she had a 1970 Chevy Vega with a 3-speed shifter on the floor as her daily driver.

So, she loves the 550. She loves the stunning look of it, the fact that it holds lots of luggage for overnight trips, and that she can drive it.

Here is a picture of her with the 550 from years ago. Notice she's using the small bag of the 550 Barchetta luggage as a big purse.
