+1 Spot on! IMO you show a healthy respect for the competition, no need to necessarily like them, however for some it is the easiest option, to constantly criticise, show contempt and disrespect at every opportunity when confronted by competition, it's very poor form IMO. But yes I can accept those grapes must taste pretty damn sour.
Ferrari will keep on fighting..i admire Seb's spirit, everytime things go wrong, he says he's got a great car...Elton will cry like a baby everytime something goes wrong...this clearly shows the diference between them. It's obvious that the FIA as helped Mercedes, and that Hamilton get's special treatment by most stewards.....but of course, Ferrari also made mistakes, and yesterday they simply failed theirv drivers..let's hope then the worst tracks are behind us, and that we can beat them again.
Nothing wrong with Pete's point of views or Bas's, yes I have butted heads on numerous occasions with them, but it wouldn't do for us all to have the same opinions, but as far as yourself is concerned with the same old Hamilton bashing theme, it's utterly boring tiresome and totally unfunny.
I said it many times, stats are nothing...just something of interest for those who can't figure out for themselves how good a driver is. Elton as got 69 poles, so what? in the past 3 and a half years he had a acr to win at least 70 poles! I can remenber one driver who ever made 2 poles and was the fastest of all times!! does anyone believes that Elton is faster than Ayrton, or Michael, or Mika? just to name a few relativly recent drivers. There was a guy in the Monza podium doing inteviews who only won 1 race and was lucky that day and who was a far better driver than anyone else on that podium will ever be!! So Elton fanboys can shove his stats up his ass, because thats the only place they'll have a decent use!
LOL Ok Pedro excuse me if I don't quite subscribe to your versions of the truth, but as far as I'am aware they don't put footnotes in the F1 history books...
That was painful. Which remaining tracks favor us, vs Mercedes? And do we have another engine yet to release this season, or are we up? Stefano
Seems we've reached the stage again "you can insult Elton if you want, but best sign it off with how you do acknowledge he's one of the very best or we'll argue with you till the end of time" I'll repeat myself again: No one here that makes "anti elton" posts thinks he's a **** driver. We've all said it many times he is top 5 of current field. Us "ridiculing" him doesn't mean we think he's ****. We think he's a **** and a whole lot of other things, but not a **** driver. BUT we do question his "greatness", that his fanboys insist that he is a GOAT. We dispute that quite simply. As Furoni has also mentioned in regards that Stats can be misleading, Alesi was a massive talent yet he only has 2 poles and a single win. Maldonado has a win and a pole, but we don't see people comparing him with Alesi do we? On the same scale we have Verstappen and Ricciardo, both massively talent and IMO both of them are faster than Elton, yet their records don't show for it....because of the car! I don't see the problem. If you don't like the comments, go to Autosport forums and hang out in the Ferrari or Mercedes section, it's like one big circle jerk where everyone is nice to each other and not allowed to make any comments about other drivers in certain forums. In the Mercedes section it's all Lewis fans jerking each other and making snide comments about Ferrari. Vice Versa (to a lesser degree) in the Ferrari section. I'm getting bored of keep having to admit that Elton is a decent driver, as the "pro elton" or "pro facts" or whatever people keep saying I have to, you lot keep forgetting that we've said it plenty he's pretty good, and if we don't say it you lot accuse of us of all sorts of things.
I will tell you what; since this is a Ferrari forum, as you keep banging on about, and Hamilton irritates you so much, I propose to refrain from speaking about Hamilton for, say one month,. I will not comment about him, no feed the trolls on here, not reply to posts about him, and not even mention his name. I hope I can keep up to that promise, but if I ever fail to do so, I am sure you will call me to order. It will be hard to ignore the leader of the championship (at the moment) but I will try. Now can you do the same? We will have to see. It's 15;45 by my watch, and we are the 7th September 2017. Let's see if you can observe that one month's truce.
I drive a prancing horse Bas, I root for them. The point is, I have been on here long enough to realize that with the constant triad of abuse aimed at Hamilton, it has even had folk that have disliked him, to turn to root for him or just leave the forum, and that is because of the constant over the top abuse, it's pathetic and mind numbing. I don't mind a laugh, but it's not even funny, IMO to be perfectly honest it's just embarrassing to be associated with it.
Leading and winning championships is relatively straight forward when you have the best car and can afford to turn the power down. I would like to see Hamilton in a Red Bull with Ricciardo as team mate.
Yes I'd like to see that... however I reckon Hamilton's nemesis/fear would be Max in the near future.
Toto Wolff would be mad to change his drivers line up at the moment. There hasn't been peace at Mercedes before this year, and there would be aggravation again if Verstappen was to come. Max needs to be Number 1 in a team to be happy; he doesn't co-habit very well, IMO.
His relationship with DR was very good until Hungary, but that's racing. At the moment he'd just like an equally reliable car.
This seems to be an oft-repeated sentiment, but would DR go to STR to prove he can win in an inferior car? Isn't the objective to drive so well that you land with the top team? And from that end, it is much harder to win with a lesser car today than in the past. I'm certain Hamilton has no desire to make a move to Force India just to prove a point. Neither will Vettel or Max.
He is in his 3rd year of F1, and wants to step up. This year, he had experienced a lot of unreliability compared to his team mate, and that soured the relation, IMO. Verstappen has scored less than half the points Ricciardo has, and he is frustrated by that situation. If he had a reliable car, and felt it's purely up to him to get points, podiums and win, he would be less stressed I think.
I agree; it's not by luck that very often (in most cases in fact) the best cars end up being offered to the best drivers. There are exceptions, of course, but few and far between.
True. Alonso, of course, is a good example of how this isn't always the case, but even he had his pick of top cars. He just had the worst judgement/luck choosing which one to jump into. Ham and Vet are now locked into their seats for at least 3 years. Ferrari doesn't have a seat opening until 2019. Merc? Who knows, but as you say, team harmony is good right now and Bottas is a good enough number 2. So where does max go? For 2018 I don't see that he has a better option than to stay at RB and hope that the driver market opens up more in 2019.
