I am selling my 1972 (chrome bumper) DeTomaso Pantera. Collectors are really beginning to appreciate the Pantera's Italian design combined with the raw power of the Ford 351 Cleveland. Last week at Pebble Beach, RM Sotheby's sold a 1974 Pantera for $203,500, including buyer's premium. My '72 has $16k in recent work, including a complete engine rebuild and upgraded cooling system. The car currently has 26,700 miles. Asking $83,500. More pictures can be seen at the link below.

Great car! Rare and I think an honest price. As least compared here in Europe! GLWS!

The one that sold at auction was the last Pantera built for US, very original , 16,000 mile car and cannot be duplicated, thus the big price. One cannot compare any others to that last one built.

The car was repainted before I acquired it. The interior is original, except for the Prototipo steering wheel. The original steering wheel is included in the sale.

The Last car Imported was a repaint so not all original, just the last one imported!

I used to own the "Last Pantera" and sold it to Don Mershon, the seller at RM. I'm not going to tell you or my wife how much money I left on the table on that one.

What makes you claim it was a repaint?

It was quite obvious on inspection, and RM Auction guys had a last minute addendum on the listing when their guys found out as well. Still a nice car
