so - I'll dive right in.

Hopefully others have already figured out a few of these...

I selected the old-school layout in blue...

I can't see any photos in a thread already open to look at. I'd have to click on each individually which is a big waste of time. How do I fix this? Is it in preferences?

All the threads are in bold and look like I have not read them yet even though I have... how do I fix this?

    Thank you fellow stooges.

Typing this in the Philippines so I'll take all the help I can...

First thing I did is also switch to the old version. The threads that are read are no longer bold for me and images load properly. What you were experiencing seems to have been fixed.
This is what I see, my question is how do I remove everything on the right so that the thread is the only thing seen on the page?

Edit: Looks like when you upload a pic it comes out as a thumbnail now and images can only be uploaded via url?

Yes - just hanging out with my fellow stooges.

I'm sure the larger group on the other thread will direct to updates on the site changes as a whole.

Thanks for the help John. I did that on the previous interface but I guess it did not carry over to the new stuff. Fixed that.

Nothing wrong with the old site. Why change something that has worked for years?

I agree, it was a lot better than this and way easier on the eyes. I haven't found much for features that are better on this version than what we already had.

I understand why a switch if the software is unsupported , but I'm not sure I can handle this change. It's very dramatic.
    Makes sense ...

The new layout isn't bad, just some getting used to. I'm sure it will be a success after the learning curve.

What happened to the tab on the bottom of each thread that allows you to choose a different forum?

Anyone figured out how to edit a post? I don't see an edit button... in mobile.

Anyone uploaded a photo in the new format in mobile?

I have not successfully done that yet - in china currently so not sure if that messes up the operation.

Ok I uploaded pictures to my other thread. Why do they show as small attachments you have to click on?... can't photos just show up like the old way? I really don't want to have to click on every photo to view them individually?

Yuk weird. Fchat is now unusable. Now have to open pics to see them. Can't open last post without scroll entire page or worse. This is not nearly as good as the 15 yo unsupported software. Certainly this is not an upgrade.

I'm having the same experience. The need to scroll down a bazillion posts is awkward -- and it seems much more cumbersome to find "new" content in the threads which capture my interest. I'm not specifically tracking my time on the site, but I'd guess I'm 30%-50% less "here" since the upgrade. :(

Robb - when uploading photos, you have the options of thumbnail or full - select full. The plan is to remove the option for thumbnails.

There is a main thread on bugs and fixes. Having all of these other threads on the topic makes it hard to track.

Image Unavailable, Please Login Let's try one from the Philippines... I think I got it.

I'm not trying to bog down the major surgery issues on the overall discussion, just some how to's on immediate needs to be able to function.

Thank you to the stooges for the help in these smaller departments.

I can't now tell what I have read and what I haven't. The old system had non-read in bold type and those that I read not. How do I tell now?
